Hi everyone,

They just announced that Tusker House will now have the Safari Characters at their lunches too now. I originally had a breakfast ressie booked, but now I have a lunch one instead. For those who have had both, which food was better?

I had wanted to really try Boma too, so now I figured I'd make a Boma breakfast ressie for the morning?

Any thoughts?

Thanks :)

Assuming you're going after December 4, it sounds like this all might be a good idea. I've done both breakfast and lunch at Tusker House, and done breakfast at Boma. Lunch at Tusker House is the same as breakfast, maybe a little better, from what I remember, in terms of quality. But equally important, Boma's breakfast, IMO, is a not-to-miss. My favorite breakfast!

Simba's mom.... would you say the food will be different enough to be able to enjoy a breakfast at Boma and then lunch at Tusker? Don't laugh, we have a dinner ressie at Jiko. We're on the dxdp and plan on spending the day at AK and checking out AKL.

It's been about 3 years since lunch at Tusker House (but t minus 13 days til my next!), but I'd say yes, different enough (at least for me). Breakfast at Boma-my faves were the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chives, Quinoa, and all the pastry selections. Lunch at Tusker House had meat and vegetables. I've got Tusker House and Jiko on my next trip-hadn't planned on Boma, but now that I talk about how great their breakfast is, I'm having second thoughts. And I'm also doing lunch at Sanaa one day.

I would be african'ed out! Breakfast and lunch are different... but I personally think 2 buffets in one day plus a signature might kill me! :) Jiko's is AMAZING! Make sure you have room for it!!

I was thinking the same thing about being African'ed out by the end of the day.

The only reason I was considering doing all three was that I want to spend a full day at AK (have dinner ressie at Jiko at 6:30, and don't want to go back and forth), and with my kids being 5 and 2, I don't think there's that much there to keep us busy for a full day. I figured we can take our time, do breakfast, split the day up with a character meal and then after the park closes, go to AKL to explore and have dinner.

Am I crazy? :)

Is the Tusker lunch food any good?

We LOVE lunch at Tusker House! The food is always good and there's a big variety for picky eaters as well as unusual things for us to try that we wouldn't normally have the opportunity to eat. The dessert selection is great as well as the meat carving station.

We did breakfast and liked it better than Chef Mickey's Felt less congested. And it seemed like we had more charactor time at Tuskers.

Don't forget your autograph book and big pen :thumbsup2
