Tusker House vs Boma - Similar?

I have been looking at the lunch/dinner menus for Tusker House. We've never eaten there before. But I saw a few "adventurous" entrees listed on the Allears menu, and some of them seem sort of similar to stuff you might see at Boma.

We are travelling with our *non* adventurous in-laws and I had already booked Boma for the night before (mainly b/c *I* really like the food there and was being a little bit selfish since most of the rest of our ADRs are geared toward them). If we have lunch at Tusker House after a dinner at Boma the night before, will it just be *too* out there for them?

I've eaten at both places. I think Boma has more "safe" options for the non-adventurous eater than Tusker House does. JMO.

I find them very similar but think both have “safe” choices. I do agree though that since Boma has a bigger selection in general they would have more options that might be considered “safe”. The main entrees at both are usually safe. The safest fish you can make is salmon and they both usually have a beef dish or pork.

Boma is by far my favorite restaurant at WDW and I make a point of eating there on each trip. Their press pot is also my favorite coffee at WDW.

If you like Boma, you will like Tusker and if you dislike one....... well you get the picture.

I have eaten at both also. As much as I prefer the atmosphere at Boma...I happen to like the food at Tusker better. Some of the spices that was used on the beef dishes at Boma, I thought was too strong for my taste. Not the case at Tusker. However, like someone said, Boma has more food options to pick from.

We just did Tusker for the first time as a TS last weekend. It reminded us of a Boma Lite with a little Crystal Palace thrown in (the cold cuts, and a few of the desserts).

I personally don't think anything at either Boma or Tusker is adventurous at all, but that's how we eat at home all the time. The tofu at Tusker was great!
