Tusker House reservations for character lunch - call!

We were excited to see the addition of a character lunch at Tusker House starting while we are there in December. I tried online and with the automated system to get a reservation with no luck. So today I spoke with a CM and she was able to get a lunch for us when the online and automated systems said no availability.

So if you are interested, I would suggest you call. This is our first trip without Chef Mickey's for breakfast (we have a Crystal Palace) and I was starting to worry my kids would miss having a big character meal. I am so excited!

I just called and got a 12 pm slot with no problem! You Have to talk to an agent though...the automated system over the phone is the same as the automated online system and it said no availability. I'm so excited to NOT have a breakfast ADR now...I don't like breakfast buffets...

That's weird, because I tried calling too, and the agent said there was no availability. She said that if the online system says there's nothing, then there's nothing. Maybe, I'll try again.

Thanks for the tips guys. I just called back and an agent was able to get me a 1:15 reservation for lunch. She said that they need to put in a special code, since this new lunch starts on 12/4. The previous agent I spoke to had absolutely no clue and just told me there was no availability.

Just called and got an 11 am for 12/20.

I had the same issue today. I swapped a 10:10 breakfast on Dec 4 to a 11:30 lunch.

I called around 3:00 and the agent said it was booked and must have booked up for that first day because of some email. Um... right. Dec 4 is a low crowd day and lunch already sold out in 2 days? without online ADRs working?? yet every other restaurant in the AK has plenty of lunch spots open??? Not buying it. I wasn't pleased.

I just called again at 7:30 and got a wonderful lady on the phone who hooked me right up and said I was her first Tusker House Character lunch reservation! YAY!

If you don't succeed with your first call, try again and you'll get a more educated CM.

Did you happen to ask the price of lunch..just curious if they raised the price because of it being a character meal now...

we have a ressie Oct. 4th so we will miss the characters.

I'm excited they added characters to the lunch. We only see the characters when we eat, unless we happen across a VERY short line. My feeling is we might as well get some characters in while we eat (and I just love me a buffet )
