Tusker House character breakfast - which time?

Okay I think I know the answer to this, but let's here what you all think......

DH & I are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary in WDW mid - August. Our last day I made an adr for a character breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom at 9:50. My plan was to head straight to Africa at rope drop, grab fastpasses for the safari and then hopefully ride it first before going to breakfast (with a repeat after, with the fastpasses).

I just now managed to grab another adr at 8:30, which is a lot earlier (and at that point in our trip any extra sleep will be a big plus ). But I'm thinking the earlier time would get us into the park ahead of all the crowd and we could duck out and grab fastpasses right at 9:00, which is also a big plus!!

So which would you choose? Is getting in early at AK as wonderful as I think it will be?

I would go with your original plan. In fact, that's what we'll be doing!

I guess it depends on what you are doing the night before...how late do you plan on being out?? I err on the side of caution with the ADR's because I'd rather have too much time to get there than not enough. If we feel like getting up early, we can still get there early without being tied to a time commitment. And if we want to sleep in, we can.

I would go with your first option as well. You'll be able to enjoy the safari at least twice that morning. And you don't want to be rushed eating to head out at 9:00 for RD.

My birthday is 8/14 and my youngest son's is 8/16. What day is your anniversary?

AK is one of my favorite parks. Have a wonderful time and Happy Anniversary!!

we like the earliest adr we can get so we can finished before rope drop and get to the safari ride first.
