Tusker House Breakfast/Lunch

We have a 10:25am reservation for Tusker House. Since lunch starts at 11am, will there be an overlap of the breakfast/ lunch offerings? Or will it most likely be that most of the breakfast will be cold/old, so it may be better to either do an earlier breakfast or push our reservation back to truly be after lunch starts?

Tusker House is great about keeping everything fresh and full. I've never seen anything "cold/old". They will start to switch out breakfast items for lunch items a little bit before 11:00, so if you want some of both, your reservation is at a great time. There are two sides to the area with hot options. In my experience with this time of day, they start the change over on one side before moving to the other. I am not a lover of buffets but this one we do frequently. It's definitely one of the best buffet meals at Disney World.

We did this last year on the Rivers of Light package and it worked out well. I think our ADR was slightly later (10:30?) but we had no issues getting hot and fresh breakfast food even up until the turnover. They are very good at refreshing the platters and we had a good variety.

We did this a couple years ago. It was great. Right at the start of the lunch time, they moved what was left of the breakfast foods to the "island" in the middle of the buffet area and started filling the side sections with the lunch food.

We always go around 10:30 or so.
They move the breakfast things to the center of the room as they start bringing out the lunch things and it does take them awhile. Desserts are last.

Did Tusker House in October. Reservations for 11:25-11:35 something like that but we arrived closer to 11:00. Seated by 11:10 and they still had breakfast stuff out in the middle circle as the leftovers from breakfast. It was still pretty fresh then but was clearly the end of the breakfast items.

Because we really enjoyed the lunch but also were glad to have breakfast options, we have ADR for 10:30 on our next trip.

We had a reservation for 10:50 and we were able to get a full plate of fresh breakfast items on our first trip to the buffet. On our second trip, which was after 11, it was breakfast leftovers. They were not replenishing breakfast but they did start to bring out lunch items so we got to try some of both meals.

So if you book that late breakfast ADR and also get the beginning of the lunch buffet, do they generate your bill based on when your reservation/seated time or when you finish?

If you book for breakfast that is what you are charged regardless of whether you are dining at change over.
