I have an ADR at 8:40am for Tusker House when DAK opens at 9am. When I see the map, it seems like Tusker House is rather far from the entrance. How early in advance would they let us in to the park? What time should we arrive at the entrance to make it in time? TIA!

I would plan on getting to the park at 8:30. If it's like last year - go to the turnstile on the far right and give the CM your name. They will let you in and direct you straight back. They have CM's standing in different spots along the way since it's before park hours. Have fun and ENJOY!

That is one of our favorite places for breakfast! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! It's my first WDW trip ever, so I'm very excited :goodvibes I'm glad CM's will be standing in different spots to lead our way, because I'm very bad at directions :rotfl:

I've been wondering the same thing. Our ressies are for 8am, but AK opens at 8am that day. I'm hoping if we are there about 7:15/7:30am that the CMs will let us in early. It looks like a long walk!

When are you going? It's our first ever trip as well!

I've got an 8:10 ressie on 9/10 and the park opens at 9, so I'm glad I found this thread. TIA!:cool1:

I've been thinking  ...............................take advantage of getting into the park before it opens! If you leave yourself an extra 10 - 15 minutes you can stop along the way to take QUICK pics! :) We have several pictures of us in the parks w/ little or no other people in our pictures. I think that is one advantage to making early ADR's! :thumbsup2

I'm not doing PTR, because this trip is two days after my biiiig exam for my grad school :p I know, I shouldn't be spending so much time thinking about my trip and checking DIS board, but oh well, it's just too exciting :woohoo: It's also our belated honeymoon, so I'm extra, extra excited   We had to wait for almost a year because of the timing issue. I'm learning a lot from DIS board and over-planning, and my DH is very amused every time I'm like, "I changed my mind about blah blah blah..."

Thanks to DIS board, we're doing a lot of things, like private photopass session, Dive Quest, and breakfast before park opens ;) We're going to do CP before MK opens on another day. I'll make sure to give ourselves some extra time so that we can enjoy empty park on the way to the restaurant :lovestruc

Absolutely! We had an 8:15 reservation at Tusker House. While we were walking to the restaurant, we stopped and took several pictures. Having ADR's before the park opens is really nice if you don't mind an early morning.
