As I've been thinking about dining for my upcoming WDW visit, I think I remember hearing something about Tusker House offering special seats for the Nemo show at DAK if you eat there.

If this is the case, I'm curious as to whether or not this is worth it. I've heard very mixed reviews regarding the Fantasmic dinner package at DHS, so I'd like to know if this is the same thing.

Also, if I do this, do they give me preferred seating for a certain show of Nemo after my meal or would it possible to make a dinnertime ADR and see the Nemo show before dinner.

I think my final question deals as to whether or not I would need to do this. Is is possible to get a decent seat for Nemo and not doing the meal at Tusker House. I'm probably going to be on the dining plan, so I'd prefer to use sit down credits for dinner than lunch if possible.

Any thoughts, opinions about the food and the special seating (if any) for the show is greatly appreciated.

I think I read somewhere that you need to make an ADR between 1pm and 1.40pm to get the Nemo Musical tickets.....Can anybody else confirm that?

Yes, you have to make ADR's between 1-1:40. Then show up for the 3:15 Nemo show at 2:45.

Last year when we saw the Nemo it was cute puppetry theatrical.
Dancing, singing and 'puppets'.

We sat in the front section to the right of the stage.

Maybe the Nemo/Tusker House ticket deal is for the two front sections.

If you have an ECV or wheelchair, then you will sit in the top row of the front section.

If you have a seat in the back section, the seats are not bad.
The Nemo theater is very wide (many seats across) and not too many rows going towards the back.

My guess would be about 20 rows in the front section and 20 rows in the back section. Each row most likely sits about 80 to 100 seats.
So the Nemo theater probably can sit close to 400 guests.

I would also save my TS for dinner - our only exception would be to do Tusker House for lunch (with Nemo tickets) and do Rainforest Cafe (not on DDP and pay OOP) for dinner before heading back to our resort.
Alternative would do Yak & Yeti CS lunch and do another Nemo show which does not have the Tusker House/Nemo 3:15 PM ticket option.
Go to the Lion King show in the afternoon - good place to dry off after Kali River Rapids ride :rotfl:

Thank you for the input. With the special "holiday" pricing in effect during my visit, it seems more and more likely that I'll be doing the dining plan, so the lunch option doesn't make much sense, especially since it sounds like it won't matter a whole lot in terms of seating.

We just did the Nemo/Tusker House Meal on Sun Jan 25. My husband picked Tusker House for his birthday meal, and I was a bit skeptical about the food for choices for the 5 kids we had with us...but...IT WAS AWESOME!! Everyone ate really well, and tried lots of new things..they have the best desserts.

As far as the Nemo show, we LOVED the show. It was very handy to just walk up and get our seats. If you are facing the stage, it is the area to the right, the front maybe 10 or so rows. We didn't make it by the 2:45 time they suggested being there (we squeezed in a ride first) and arrived at 3:05 and got in with no problems. The show started promptly at 3:15. I honestly don't know that we had the best seats in the house, as we were at/or slightly lower than the stage. I think I would like to see the show from up a bit higher sometime.

If you are worried about getting a good seat then go for it. It doesn't cost anything extra and the lunch there is pretty good. Your lunch options for a TS at AK are limited anyway so this is probably the best option.

We have never had a problem getting a seat for the Nemo show, even when we show up right before it starts so I don't know if the reserved seating is that valuable.

As noted earlier, the reserved seating is only available for a single show time in the afternoon.

If you are planning on going to Tusker House for lunch anyway then by all means you should have lunch within the window for the Nemo tickets, if you use them great, if not it didn't cost you anything.

Just a clarification.
There are a very few seats for wheelchairs/ECVs in the very front row of the theater.
There are a few wheelchair/ECV seats in the middle of the theater.
The majority of the wheelchair/ECV seating is in the last row of the theater, with an aisle between that row and the sort of stadium seating that is in the very back of the theater.

We sat in that area on our last trip in the front row. We were actually lower than the stage, so had to look up to see the show.
