Turnpike tolls?

Hi Disney peeps. We're heading to Fort Wilderness next Friday via I75 south and have to take the turnpike. Anyone have any idea how much in tolls we can expect? 4 axles (I guess). Chevy 3/4 ton and a 36 ft, fifth wheel. Can we pay cash? Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, you can pay cash. IIRC it's about $12.00 total.

Morning all, I attached a link to help you calculate the toll costs. You won't have a toll till your on the Turnpike south of the
Okahumpka Service Plaza. Then take 429 off of the Turnpike towards Tampa. Less traffic and there is only toll there but a lot cheaper than the Turnpike prices. about half way down 429 if you look out the driver side you can see the Contemporary and Space ship earth. We love the sneak preview !!! Look for the signs they are clearly marked. The road is "Western Way" It will take you to W. Buena Vista Drive. Then to World Drive then to the Ft. The DW hated going all the way to I4 The traffic was terrible. 429 is a breeze. You have many options now in Florida to pay the tolls. just look at the website and pic your favorite.

You could stop at the Service Plaza it's on the Turnpike not too far off of 75 and purchase a Sunpass Mini it cost around $5.00. You stick it to your windshield and go. You do have to set up an account and deposit a set amount and a replenishment amount from your credit card and then you sail right thru the toll booths. If you have the pass when you are on 429 you don't even go thru a toll booth you stay on the highway. They scan it as you pass by at 70 mph. The Sunpass works on E-pass roads too and I think some roads in the Carolinas. I have one on both our vehicles linked to my one account. It makes it so much easier not having to stop. On my last trip in the car I paid a little over $8 round trip. So double that for a standard camper.

Western Way is so easy. We always take 429 and go in that way unless were staying in Kissimmee which is a little further down 429.

We have a Texas toll &b Florida - love it no hassle just drive . By the time we turn on Western Way - I get so excited & tell Hubby hurry, hurry no time to waste!!

This was from our past trip 3 weeks ago. That was for our truck and fifthwheel. Except for the very first line for $1.06, that were we made a Wal-Mart run and I jumped back on 429 north from Hwy 192 and took Western Way back to the Fort. Toll road 429 is awesome, the only way to get to Disney coming from I75. You bypass all of downtown Orlando and there is hardly any traiffic. If you vacation in Florida often the Sunpass system is the way to go.
