He looks so real in these pictures!

One of my favorite scenes...

mnsshp043.jpg

mnsshp044.jpg

The kids loved it. Now, it was time to eat. We decided on Pecos Bill Cafe. I had a salad, jason got the chickey wrap, and the kids shared a cheeseburger. I have to say that none of these were very good:( After dinner, we headed over to Carpets of Aladdin. Here's our friend the spitting camel. Luckily, we avoided getting wet!

mnsshp049.jpg

After this, we decided to do some trick or treating...

mnsshp050.jpg

I have to say that I thought this was going to be a mad house but it was suprisingly very calm and organized. Leave it to Disney! Here's Aubrey waiting to go in and get some candy. This Trick or Treat spot was right next to Carpets of Aladdin...

mnsshp051.jpg

Our next trick or treating spot was Columbia Harbour House. It was pretty cool because they shut the restaurant down and were using it only for trick or treating.

While we were walking around, we noticed lots of these on the ground. The kids loved them...

mnsshp053.jpg

It was now time for the parade. The kids had been asking about a parade all day so this was going to be good. I could feel it:rolleyes:

We found our spot on the route and got comfortable. Aubrey was up and dancing around at first but didn't listen when I told her to get out of the street. To the stroller she went. Safely strapped in, we waited for the headless horseman to appear. While waiting, I noticed this boy across the street. Ok, I want to apologize in advance to anyone that may have put this costume on their child or if this person happens to be reading this. But come on, this poor kid looked miserable. Precious, but miserable. He couldn't move!

mnsshp066-1.jpg

I'm going to hell, I know. Alrighty, time to put the kids down to bed. Pics of the parade up next!

Oh dear! That costume! :lmao: Sooooo cute but looks very high maintenance!

Your pictures from POTC are great! Way to be with the flash!

Great pictures. I am glad to hear that Brendan wasn't scared of POC. Grace is so close to his age that this information is helpful to me. I hope she does as well as him on the rides. I can't wait to hear more about the party. That little boy does look uncomfortable. Oh I forgot to mention that I love the first two pictures you posted of Brendan. The second one is my favorite. I bet it looks great in black and white. Were you and Jason wearing baseball pants too? I liked the shirts.

Nice update! The sign outside the MK for MNSSHP looks very cute! We went to the party in 2006 and it seems like from all the pictures I've seen they have really amped up the decorations.

That's funny about the encounter with the Gator fans and their gator chomp. My dad is a Michigan alum so last January we went to the Capital One Bowl. They played Florida and dude that gator chomp was so annoying! Luckily UM beat them and everyone at the MK that night was congratulating us on the win since we all had on Michigan shirts. :rotfl:

The park looked amazing. Even though we had been there before the party, things still looked different. They have such a way about transforming things! It was so much fun.

Funny about the Capitol One bowl. So glad y'all won and not them. LSU has lots of rivals and Florida is definitely one of them. No one is worse than Bama though. Sorry Bama lovers:rolleyes1

If you notice in my signature, we went to the Capital One bowl in 2004 when LSU played Iowa. It was a last minute trip. Jason and I had just gone to WDW in the beginning of December and the bowl game was on New Year's day. Our good friends bribed us with free tickets to the game and a day at the park if we went with them. The parks were insanelly crowded but it was an awesome new years. Our best ever. We rung in the New Year in Japan. Too fun. The game on the other hand, lost in the last seconds. It was terrible!

WOOHOO!!!! AN UPDATE!! :cool1:

Those pics of Brendan are really cute!

Your family shirts are cute too...maybe the other people were jealous? :lmao:

:scared1: About the tickets not working!

Okay...that's funny. :lmao:

Thanks. That pic of Brendan is my profile pic on facebook . I love it! The tickets ended up working but we were scared there for a minute!

Oh those gators. One of our favorite cheers is when the gator band plays their fight song and instead of responding "Go Florida Gators" or whatever their fans say, we say "Gators eat buggers!". Jason was in the Tiger band and I think that was a band thing but we still say it to this day. Mature, I know.

I wouldn't have normally used my flash but since it was just us, I figured what was the hard. I love the pics. Glad I took them!

Yes, that poor boy looks miserable. Those would be some serious blackmail pics in the future!

They really did good on the dark rides. We didn't even try Haunted Mansion though because that place freaks me out. I'm sure the kids would have been scared. I will be happy to pass on any other tips that I think may come in handy for you and Grace. I'll keep that in the back of my mind while posting. Still can't believe y'all are going!!!!!!!! So excited for you:banana:

The Capitol One Bowl this year was just this past Saturday, right? I think I saw the parade on tv at the laundry mat. The tv was kinda blurry but the audio was ok. One of the announcers sounded JUST LIKE that Stacy chick from channel 18 at WDW (The top 7 things at WDW....shh the top 7 are the 4 parks, 2 water parks, and DTD! :lmao:) but I couldn't see well enough on the tv to see if it was her or not.

The other crazy thing about that parade - I think an old friend of mine was IN it.

What did Jason play in the band? I was in marching band in high school and parades and games and stuff were SO MUCH FUN. I kind of miss it. I still love watching marching bands - especially the drum cadences. :goodvibes And when they play somewhere where the walls are in tight so the sound echoes and amplifies .....

Oh....I looked for you on Facebook. I think I found you.

Jason played trombone. I was a band groupie. Seriously, I dated two trumpet players, a sax player, and two trombone players then ended up with Jason:rolleyes1 What can I say, I love a man in uniform:lmao:

We love watching marching bands too. We've been to DCI a couple of times. Have you ever seen that? We also saw Blast at the Sanger Theater in New Orleans. It's a fine theater that unfortunately is no longer opened due to Katrina. Anyway, the lobby is all marble with 50 food ceilings at least. After the show, the drum line marched into the lobby and played. It was unbelievable. I loved it and want to see it again!

PS- I had a feeling you were on facebook. Friend me!!

I played clarinet. I wanted to play drums but my mom wouldn't let me. My brother played trumpet. He was IN DCI! He was in the Seattle Cascades; I forget what year. They are division 1 (I think?) but they are not one of the more well-known corps. I forget what year he did it - I think 2002. I don't know if he marched in New Orleans or not; I'll have to ask him. I know they went through Texas - I remember him commenting on the bugs. The year he did it, the finals were in Orlando so they got to go to WDW for a day.

You had a "feeling" I was on facebook? :lmao: I did put in a friend request for you!

It was finally time for the parade began. The music lowered and we could hear hoofbeats in the distance. It was soooooo cool. Then, we saw him...

headlesshorseman.jpg

I have to say that this kind of took my breath away. It was so creepy and cool but not too scarey. That's pretty much how I would describe the whole party. It was scarey but not too scarey. Just right, as ole Goldie Locks would say;)

Here comes the parade!!!

mnsshp069.jpg

Up first was Donald, Minnie, and some other characters that I can't remember because they weren't in the picture...

mnsshp069.jpg

Here comes one of Aubrey's favorites... Alice! She came right up to her. It was awesome!

mnsshp072.jpg

Up next, Pooh and the gang...

mnsshp082.jpg

Now, this is where it gets a bit foggy for me. I can't remember the order of all of these so I'll just tell you what they are as I go...

Clarabelle Cow... Aubrey loves her from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...

mnsshp105.jpg

Uhhhhh, I am missing MORE pics on photobucket! Don't know what the deal is. I'm off to upload more. Please stand by....

The last time we went to DCI it was 2005. That's awesome that he was in it! It's such a cool show. I love Phantom. I actually played clarinet and drums in band in grade school. That's funny.

I did have a feeling. Just because you're on the DIS so much like me, I figured you branched out to facebook too:lmao:

The parade looks awesome. I would love to see it one day.

Do you ever take your kids to Blue Bayou? I want to go this summer. Maybe we can spend a day there and let Grace play with Audrey and Brendan.

LOVE the updates....your camera takes AMAZING pictures!!

Thanks! I love my camera. I was not sure about it at first but I am sooooo glad that I got it. It really does take great pics. I have blown them up and they come out great! I actually took some pics of my newborn nephew for my SIL and the blew it up and framed it and gave it as a gift for the grandparents this Christmas! It makes me look like I know what I'm doing:)

The parade was awesome. I highly recommend it if you can ever get there at that time of year.

I have not been to Blue Bayou in forever. I would love to get together with the kids. I bet that would be fun. Have you been there lately?

Alrighty, I THINK I've gotten photobucket under control. Where did I leave off??? Clarabelle, I think.

Ok, I know I said Aubrey loves Alice, but Peter Pan is her absolute number one fav! She's watching it right now, as a matter of fact! Needless to say, she was extatic when we saw this...

mnsshp087.jpg

And these guys...

mnsshp090.jpg

mnsshp092.jpg

Then came the dancing winches...

mnsshp093.jpg

Followed by Jack and the gang...

mnsshp095.jpg

mnsshp094.jpg

And then these dead dancers. These were my favorite. Check out their costumes and make up. So cool...

mnsshp100.jpg

mnsshp099.jpg

These guy followed. They were extra creepy. I love this shot...

mnsshp102.jpg

These were my second fav group. They were grave diggers and they each carried a shovel. You can't really see in the picture but they would drag the shovels on the ground and make sparks. It was really neat!

mnsshp104.jpg

mnsshp103.jpg

Wow - I had heard good things about that parade but I've never seen it. It does look pretty cool.

I really like the quality of the pictures your camera takes. :goodvibes

Dancing cowboys. Not really sure how they fit into the theme but whatever. Does anyone else think this guy looks like Bill Bellamy?...

mnsshp106.jpg

This cool guy...

mnsshp110.jpg

Then came the bad guys and gals...

mnsshp116.jpg

mnsshp112.jpg

mnsshp113.jpg

mnsshp114.jpg

mnsshp115.jpg

mnsshp117.jpg

Goofy brought up the rear...

mnsshp122.jpg

Then it was over...:(

mnsshp124-1.jpg

It wasn't too long or too short. Again, just perfect!

Wow. I love it. I have never been to a Disney parade. Faron never wants to sit and wait for them. We are definitely going to watch at least one parade on our next trip because I know Grace would love it.

I have so many pictures of that Tiger!!!:lmao: And it just happens to be purple and gold! I love that parade. It's one of my favs:thumbsup2
