I just remembered a tip for you. I don't know if you drink coffee but I wanted to share this with you. We are used to drinking Community coffee here and I hate hotel coffee. Well I found pre packaged 4 cup community coffee pack with filter. It is the perfect size for hotel coffee pots. You can buy one individual packet. I bought one for each morning of our trip and I packed our vanilla coffee creamer. It worked out perfect.

I am trying to remember any tips I think would help you.

I don't remember if you are going to typhoon lagoon or not. If you are and you are on the dinning plan I have another tip for you. When we ordered lunch there as a counter service credit you get a dessert. They only have icecream. I knew we wouldn't eat it right away with our lunch so I asked what I should do. The cm said I could keep my receipt and he initialed it and charged me for the ice cream. I didn't take it right away because he said to hold the initialed receipt and come back for the ice cream later when we were ready for it.

I do drink ONLY Community. Other coffee is glorified tea to me:lmao: Anyway, where did you get those little single packs? I was thinking about shipping a box of goodies ahead of us to the resort. This box would include diapers, snacks, water, wine, and coffee. I don't know. What are people's feelings on this???

The TL tip is great. We are scheduled to go there one day. The only thing is that I scheduled to go to TL and then hit beaches n' cream for the kitchen sink! I've heard and seen pics of it and we just have to try it. Since we're staying at BCV, I figured it would be an easy stop. Are there any other desserts at TL? If not, we may just snack there and eat lunch at BNC. Thanks sooooooo much for the tips. You're da bomb:worship:

How is DH and his pollups doing?

Hello, all! This has been a fun day. Yesterday was frustrating. Do you ever have one of those days when EVERYTHING drives you nuts and you have no fuse at all and you want to rip everyone's heads off that even looks at you finny?? Yeah, well that day was yesterday for me. Just wasn't in the mood for anything. Even the DIS didn't cheer me up - gasp! So I took one of my magic pills and was asleep by 10:00!

So speaking of sleeping, I have been doing a lot lately! I called the dr on Tuesday and told him that whatever he had prescribed wasn't doing the job and that he needed to pull out the big guns. He called in a Rx for Ambien for me and good Lawd, this stuff works! I have not slept this good since, well, before kids! In fact, the first night, I fell asleep at about 10:00. Woke up the next day and noticed that my DD's sheets had been removed and replaced with a chenile throw off of the couch. Surely she didn't do this on her own during the night? I wouldn't put it past her though. She's quite the genious:lovestruc Anyway, I called my DH at work and he informed me that not only did she wake up around 3am that morning, but she came into our room crying. She had wet herself and the bed. Because he is a DH and not a DW, he decided to put the throw off of the couch on the bed instead of looking for another fitted sheet for her bed!!! Since I was off in Neverland sound asleep, I guess I shouldn't complain! Needless to say, I didn't hear a peep of this and was quite glad that I missed it. I know I know, this is not a good thing probably. I am only taking these pills for a week, just to get me back on track. Until then, DH will have to have the "mommy ears" as i call them, for the week!

So, onto today. I made another trip to Michael's to purchase probably my
115th pack of dark transfer sheets. I have made 10 shirts in all and have 9 more to go! I was going to wait and do a big "Here are my shirts" post but I just can't wait for that. Here's what I've done so far...

These are for the kids to wear on the plane ride there. I tried to convince DH to wear one too but he said we should sit this one out. I had to agree with him on this:

shirts013-1.jpg

Next up are our Halloween costumes. We are going as LSU baseball players. I could not find matching LSU shirts in both adult and child sizes, so I made my own. We will be wearing them with baseball pants and baseball hats and the shirts are numbered 1 through 4 starting with DH...

shirts015.jpg

My next creation, courtesy of one of the DISigners, if my favorite. We will be there for an LSU game day and wearing these shirts with pride. Geaux Tigers!!!

Ok, that's it for now. More to come. Hope everyone is doing well. For all my lurkers, please just post something to say hi. I feel like I'm talking to myself sometimes, except for my few regulars:) Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I got my new tennis shoes yesterday! I know that everyone has been on the edge of their seats waiting on this post. I found some shoes that I liked last week at Shoe Station. They are Saucony Grid C2 Roasters. I am very picky about my shoes and wanted to make sure I found the perfect ones and get them all broken in before our trip. Anyway, I found them at the store but they didn't have my size. All they had was a 10 and I really needed a 10.5. Normally, I would have squeezed my foot into them Drusilla style, but I decided to see if I could find them on the web. I did and they came in yesterday. These puppies are awesome. See, since my feet are quite large (hey, I'm 5'10" ok!) I like my shoes not to be white as to not blind people with the reflection of the sun. These are grey and weigh only 9oz!! Ok, why am I getting so excited about shoes. Guess it's because I rarely find some that I really love. So here they are. I was about to take them for a test run with the kids...

shoes002.jpg

I also wanted to note that I went to Walgreens today and got some retractable sharpies (thanks for the tip Couteau_Chick) and found this camera at the check out counter. Impulse buy, I know. I bought it with intentions of taking pics at TL. We'll see. Ok, time for dinner. Maybe some more later. Making up for yesterday:)

Ok, can someone please explain to me how to respond to multiple quotes within a post? I just can't figure it out!

At the bottom right of every post are three little buttons. "Quote" and two with symbols. The middle button with the " qoutation mark is for multi quote. Click on it for each of the posts and it will turn red. (click it a second time to cancel). When you're ready to respond click the reply button at the bottom of the page.

Love all the t-shirts and Disney store purchases.:goodvibes
The dwarves shirt is so cute!!!
There is a Disney store at the mall 30/40 mins away. I'm hoping to get there next week. :cool1:
We have to do some shopping anyway. My son grew 2&1/2 inches over the summer.
I have a super long shopping list for the trip. :lmao:
I did make it to the craft store this week & bought shirts for tie dye & iron ons!
And a mickey head paper punch!!!

Glad you found comfy sneakers. :thumbsup2
I have trouble finding ones I like too.

And yeah for ME tags. :cheer2:

I found the coffee singles at Super 1 Foods. If you can't find them around your town pm me and I can send you some. I think it only comes in dark roast. Thats what I drink anyway. It's our state coffe you know.

You don't have to get a desert at TL. I just thought I would mention it to you. I don't blame you I want to try the kitchen sink too.

Have you ever had zebra domes?? I love them. We stayed at AKL so I would use my snack credit for them almost every day. If you haven't tried them you need to.

I love your shirts they are very nice. I think you can guess which ones are my favorite:rolleyes1

My SIL and my niece are both pregnant. They are due about three weeks apart. Well my SIL was due Monday (nothing yet), so they are inducing labor on her in the morning. Well, my niece called me this afternoon. She is due in three weeks. She was admitted to the hospital because her blood pressure was elevated. Once they hooked her up to the monitors they realized she was having contractions. They are about every four minutes. We might have two new family members by morning. My SIL is my brothers wife. This is his first child. My niece is my dh's brothers daughter. She was the flower girl in our wedding. I am so excited. When I found out that they were both pregnant I told them (at Christmas) that they were going to have the babies on the same day. I said that Brandy would be late and Sara would be early. I wonder if my prediction will come true.

I am really enjoying visiting with you on this pre trip report. I am glad you started it. I wonder who encouraged you to start it:rolleyes1

Ok, I would like everyone to please ignore that train wreck of a response to Kathleen. I am still trying to figure out the multi quoting thing. Obviously I don't get it. I'm going to try again. This is funny:rotfl2:

Maybe I'll just treat myself to 2 desserts that day!

Yes, I love them too. I can taste them already!!!

GEAUX TIGERS!!! One more week!!!

How EXCITING!!! Two babies in one day! I can't even imagine. Maybe you do have psychic abilities! I will definitely say some prayers for all of y'all. Speaking of babies, my nephew is doing really well. He's up to 4.5lbs now and took his first feeding by bottle today. They are saying he'll be home mid to end September - probably when we're on our trip I'm sure. Maybe you could use your ability to tell me when he'll be home:rotfl: Good luck with the babies and keep me posted!

I am really enjoying visiting with you on this pre trip report. I am glad you started it. I wonder who encouraged you to start it:rolleyes1

Me too, I've enjoyed this so much. Maybe we can have a mini Dis meet at one of the games. Share a beer or three:drinking1

For the love of DIS...

Seriously, PLEASE IGNORE my previous two posts. Kathleen and Couteau_Chick, there are responses in there to you somewhere. I think I need further explanation of multi quoting. I am so sorry. I promise I'm not an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I hope I didn't confuse you.

You can add text and space between the quotes. Just put the cursor after the /quote of one and before the qoute of the next.

If you use preview post instead of submit post you can see what it will look like.

Hello. I was a little traumatized by my last attempt of multi quoting. I'm just going to stick with what I know. Thanks for trying to help me Kathleen. I will get it one day:rotfl:

Anyway, nothing too exciting on the planning front over here these days. I have made my last 2 sets of shirts for the family. Haven't taken a pic of them yet but will post asap. I'm happy with them. I have made a total of 18 shirts and still have one left to make for my DD's birthday. Just waiting on a disign from one of the wonderful DISigners over on the design boards.

I started to get all of our paperwork together today - booking confirmation, ME stuff, birth certs. It's all becoming so real, and my DH is really getting into it now too. We had a very nice date Friday night with no kids. Haven't done that in months - since March to be exact! We had such a good time. We actually talked about our trip most of the time. He loves to hear my plans. Not too big on making them but loves to hear about them! I have the whole schedule loaded in my phone so we went over it and talked about all of the things we have to see and some of the things we could skip. Such as, Hollywood Play n' Dine. I have this scheduled for lunch one day but I'm not sure if we're going to do it. Besides the fact that I've heard really nothing good about Hollywood and Vine, the characters don't really do anything for me either. My kids love Little Einsteins but I'm not sure if they'll even recoginze them in character form. They're not very distinctive. And Jo Jo, does that show even come on anymore? I don't know. May just have to skip that one. I think I may schedule a photoshoot that morning at the hotel. So back to our romantic dinner, we also did a lot of talking about the DIS. It's so funny. I was telling him stories about people like they're close personal friends, and I really do feel that way. I am so grateful for finding this website. It's a blast.

Alrighty, I am off to buy school supplies. My kids are starting Mother's Day Out and we have open house tomorrow. They're growing up so fast!!! They will only be going twice a week and I'm looking forward to the break. Their school is right next door to the gym, which I NEVER seem to be able to make it to. Can't wait. I hope to shed about 10 more lbs before the trip. I will post more later, hopefully pics of my shirts!

I can't wait to see the pics of your shirts.

DH and I really need another date night too. We haven't had one since Feb. It is hard to get away with Grace still being so young. I rarely ask anyone to babysit. I didn't with the older two either.

I do the same thing to my DH I talk about people from the disboards like they are my close personal friends too. It is funny how you just bond with some people on disboards. When I did my pre trip report I would talk to someone named mickiecakelady. I think that was her screne name. We talked ofter I had subscribed to her report and she subed mine. We were going to disney world at the same time and staying at the same resort. We also had dinner reservations for LTT on the same night at the same time. We actually had a dis meet at LTT. She was so nice and I really enjoyed meeting her. She posted only one time when she returned from her trip. She said something like I am back and unpacking I will update tomorrow. She never came back. I don't know what happened to her. I worry about her sometimes. she was on the boards everyday and then she disappeared. I was sad. It is weird how you can worry about someone you barely know and only met once.

Oh I have news. I have a new little niece. She was born Friday at 5 pm. She weighed 8lbs. I only have one brother and I don't have any sisters. This is my brother's first child. My brother and I are only eleven months apart and our first children are one month shy of sixteen years apart. I never thought I would see the day when my brother would become a daddy. I am so excited. I just had to share my good news with my new friend:hug:

Looks like we will be there at the same time - I'm going down 9/22 - 10/3. I'm doing a 3 day cruise in the middle. This is my big solo trip for the year. Then I have an extended family trip in December when I travel w/ two little ones, they will be 4 and 7 for this trip, but there first one was 2.5 and 5.

I'm the big planner in the family, I have a bag w/ all my stuff that I buy for the boys to keep them entertained. I love the baggies w/ the cars and princesses, do you remember where you found them?

As for your question about the flight, as a frequent (Very Frequent) flier, I must say anything that keeps me from getting kicked in the back by little feet is a good thing. Frankly, the engine noises are pretty loud and as long as the dvd isn't blasting it should be any worse than having a conversation. However, if you are really worried, I have seen 'childrens' headphones at Khols (don't know if they have them in LA) but they are smaller and the ones I saw had soft animal heads on the ear portion to make them fun and more comfortable. I'm hoping to go back and get at least one pair for the youngest, I understand Jet Blue doesn't have the freebies anymore.

I usually do a trip report but have never done a pretrip report - you're doing a great job, would love to see the rest of the shirts you made. We had ones made at the disney store on line a few years back that had the fab five in their travel clothes - and said "Too excited to Sleep" all nine of us wore them on the plane. I was really surprised that the grandparents went along w/ it. We also had matching shirts for the luau.

I may be at the same MNSSHP as you, I haven't decided between Tues and Thur, I think I'm waiting until it gets within 10 days or so to see what the weather is like, I don't want to get rained out.

Keep up the report, even if you aren't getting a lot of responses, there are tons of lurkers out there. ;)

Happy Birthday to your new neice!!! There is nothing more wonderful than a new baby! How exciting! I feel honored that you shared this wonderful news with me. Congratulations:flower3:

We did have a nice night out. The restaurant we went to was in downtown and we had big plans to go out on the town for some drinks after we ate. Well, we were stuffed and both said that we missed our babies and wanted to go home and put on our PJ's! Man, we must be getting old:scared1:

I wonder what happened to your friend on the DIS. That would worry me too. I really do feel like we've become friends. It's so nice to know that there are people out there with my same addiction, and not too far away at that! Didn't you say that you are going back to WDW in 2010? We are going to be there in March for DS's 3rd birthday. That would be cool if we were there at the same time! Alrighty, no pics tonight. I've been busy with house stuff and didn't get a chance. Bad poster, I know:laughing: They'll be here tomorrow. Have a good night!

Wow, a solo trip! That is going to be nice. With a cruise in the middle?!? Live it up!!!

I love doing the planning. It really is a passion. No one understands except for the people on the DIS. My family picks on me because of all of the thought that I have put into things. Oh well, I want to make every moment magical and it will be!

I got the cars lunch bags on the dollar aisle at Target. That is a dangerous area for me!

i'm not too worried about the plane ride. I think the kids will be fine. It's going to be lunch time so feeding them will take up some time. The flight is only 1:20 so I think all will be good. And if not, then oh well. I'll be so excited that it will take a lot to upset me!

Thanks so much for posting! Hope to hear from you again. Have a good night!;)

first of all, love your ptr! We will also be at bcv in sept, you will just be there a little later than we will!. your shirts are adorable! also at walgreens, they have little disposable cameras with the princesses on them! I know your daughter is young, but maybe for a later trip!

Good morning everyone. What a nice, hot and muggy day. We had to deal with the remnants of Fay all day yesterday so today is gross and wet and hot outside. The kids have been cooped up and are going stir crazy, as am I. I guess we will survive. I can't wait for cooler weather. Probably won't get that until February!

Well, I finally was able to upload pics of my final shirts. Here is my fav...

mimi008.jpg

I love the red and I think the stick figures are so cute. Again, thanks to the DISigners!

Here is the last of the family shirts...

mimi007.jpg

I have these stickers on the back of my car and a DISer turned it into a graphic for me. Don't know how they do it. See, here's the before...

nanaandpapa051.jpg

Too cool!

You may also notice that I have made all of my shirts front-and-back shirts. I don't know why. I just like having big logos on my back rather than my front. That's why there are little WDW 2008's on the front of each shirt.

YAY! Thanks for reading along! I know I went a little crazy with the shirts. I've never made any before for any of our other trips. But, then again, that's before I found the DIS!:rotfl:

You know, i thought about getting DD a disposable camera but I'm sure it will totally go to waste. She loves taking pictures but it's only because she can look at them immediately on the digital.

Have you ever been to BCV before? We haven't and I am sooooo excited!
