Alrighty, I tried the multi quoting thing again. I don't know what my problem is. Uhhhhh, oh well. More posts tomorrow. It's time for sleep now. Oh, went to sleep last night by 11:30 all on my own. No drugs!!! Yay me:cool1:

Hope you don’t mind me “butting in” but maybe this will help with the double quotes thing:

Before you click on reply go to the post you want to quote and click this button:

one.jpg

Then do the same on the second one you want to quote. :

two.jpg

Now click on the
three-1.jpg

You should see this:

four.jpg

You can either add your comments between the quotes or at the end.
That’s it, then you can either preview or post your reply.

My screne name is coteau_chick because I live in coteau which is just outside New Iberia. So far the storm path does not look good for us. On top of that we got terrible news yesterday afternoon. My uncle who lives in Baton Rouge died. His funeral will be held in Arnaudville. We should find out the arrangements today. I feel better this morning but yesterday I was wishing I had a nerve pill, I have never had a nerve pill before. Yesterday was just one of those days. I am so sad for my daddy. I still haven't faced him yet because he took off straight to Baton Rouge when he got the news. I am very sad for losing my uncle but the part that kills me is seeing my daddy hurting.

Wow, that is probably the most thorough and detailed explanation that I could have asked for:worship: Thanks so much for taking the time to do that! I think I've got it now. Sorry I'm a little slow:rolleyes:

Oh Laura, I am so sorry to hear that. You have so much going on already with new babies and the hurricane. I will definitely keep y'all in my prayers, especially your dad.

DisneyTiger...

Ola from West Texas. I hope things are still going good for you.

I've been watching the hurricane path and I'm really nervous for you. Here's sending :goodvibes to you and Couteau_chick...

I keep watching the weather channel. (I'm addicted to the weather channel:rolleyes: ) and way out there in the Atlantic are 2 more storms, pass Hanna. We leave for Disney in 3 weeks. I'm already praying that they don't become Hurricane's.

So on to better things to talk about. DISNEYWORLD.... 3 more weeks for us and 4 more weeks for you. START PACKING...:rotfl: No you don't have to yet. So I wonder if I will run into you at the BeachClub. I'm not one to wear something green for Disboard, so you won't know if it's me, because I will have nothing green on, but then again, I'll be the one with the 3 really cute kids running around. I'll count BFF's DS Parker as one of my kids.

I love to carry my Coach Swing purse because I don't have to carry lots of things. I carry that spiral, a pen, my Prescription sunglasses or glasses when I switch them out, my camara and MY KEY TO THE KINGDOM... (YEAH :yay: :yay: I can't wait.) and I think that's all DH will carry the camara bag, with our DVD Player and the Gorilla for my camara, disk and his KEY TO THE KINGDOM. DD14 has her own Coach Swing purse and DS will carry his own backpack.

I'm working on my list's also. :woohoo:

What do you carry?

I'm guessing a pretty big bag for all the kids stuff. I bet that's hard. At leasst you have the really great stroller to help out. :cool1:

Lots more planning to do..

Hi, yes, we are very worried about the storm. I am worried for Couteau_Chick. She's got so much going on right now. Those other storms are making me very nervous. I just hope this is it because we leave a week after you! There better not be anything out there!

I am carrying a messenger type bag for the parks. It goes across my chest and is comfy to carry. I have only carried a little purse, similar to yours, in the past but that was with no kids. This time, DH and I are both carrying bags! As far as wearing anything green for the DIS, I do have a laminated LGMH on my bag. I'm curious to see if anyone says anything. Look for us, we'll be the ones with two kids that look like twins even though they're 18 months apart. Here is a pic of me with my bag. I was so proud. This was my first transfer and I made DH take a pic of me so I could put it on the DIS. He thought I was crazy. Maybe just a little:rotfl2: While this is not the best pic of me, you get the idea:)

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is doing well tonight. I personally am glued to the weather channel, waiting to see just what Gustav has up his sleeve. This is so frustrating, sitting and waiting. I am prepared though. Lots of water, batteries, canned goods, and alcohol:rotfl:

Anyway, I started getting my pennies together today for the pressed penny machines. This is not something that I planned on doing but after reading more about it, I am thinking my DD will really get a kick out of it. I read that you should only use pre 1982 pennies so they don't streak. The only ones I could find were really dark and not pretty like the new ones. I decided to trust my fellow DISers and try to polish them up. Kathleen recommended ketsup which I tried but it didn't really work for me. I really didn't try that hard to be honest. There was something just weird about rubbing condiments on my coins!:rotfl2: I decided to try soaking them in vinegar. This worked like a charm. As soon as I put them in the vinegar, they started to get brighter. I really didn't even have to scrub them. Of course, I took pics of the before and after...

I was quite impressed. I do have a question for anyone that has input. How many pennies should I bring? I've never really even noticed the penny machines so I don't know how many to expect to make.

Well, that's pretty much it for tonight. It's getting late and I'm actually getting tired. We have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get ready for the football game. Get this, they moved kick off up to 10am because of the storm! It was supposed to be at 4 but they are going to start contraflow on the interstates at 6:00. Instead of tailgating with regular jambalya and hamburgers, we are doing brunch! Geaux Tigers!!!

PS- I would like everyone to keep Couteau_Chick in your thoughts and prayers. She's going through a rough time right now with a death in the family and probably having to evacuate due to the storm. I am thinking about you! This will all be over soon:hug:

I love your bag. You are going to get so many people asking you where you got it.

I will tell you how many pennies to bring when I look at ds book. I will tell you how many pressed pennies the pressed penny book holds. Our's is from 2006 but I am sure it hasn't changed that much. DS is sleeping right now so I can't go get it but I will try to remember to count them soon for you.

I will be up at the crack of dawn to get to the funereal. When I get home Courtney has a hair appt. When we get back from that we HAVE to pack the camper. I really don't want to leave but it is to risky to stay here just a couple of miles from the gulf.

Thanks for the prayers. You are my Dis bff:rotfl2:

I pray that you stay safe too.

DH was supposed to go to the game but with his surgery he decided not to go. Now because of the storm he wouldn't have been able to go anyway. We have to record the game because I will be at the funeral and dh is working. Grace is going to have to wait to wear her new little LSU jersey for the next game. Now I have time to get her a new LSU bow. She is trying to do the L-S-U chant. She can do her arm thing but she can't say the letters. The point is she is trying. We are rasing her right.:rotfl2:

Enjoy yourself tomorrow and don't worry about the storm for a little while.

I will write back later. Goodnight.

Just got done reading your pretrip report :surfweb:. So many great things you are doing for your kids :). I Love all your pictures! As far as the pressed pennies go, there are a ton of machines. Here is the link http://allears.net/btp/pennylist.htm and here is a cool thread on the DISigns board for a Pressed penny label for the M&M Tubes if you are interested. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1785903

Love the bag..... That is so cool :cool1: :cool2:

I wish I was creative but I'm not.

I'm really getting worried about you and coteau_chick. I had to work today and I was telling my boss that I have Friends that live in the path of Gustav and that I'm really worried about them. I hope you didn't mind that I told him I have friends down there. :lmao:

Do you plan to leave or stay there. I would think run as far away as I could but then again I've never been in a hurricane so I wouldn't have any idea what to do. I'm really feeling sorry for coteau_chick, a funural today then back home and pack the trailer and leave. Wow, that would just freak me out. :scared1: My DH says that I really handle change so well. :lmao:

Just wanted you to know that I'm sitting her watching the weather channel praying for you guys...

Trust me, if I can do the transfer thing, then anyone can do it:lmao:

I think it's cool that you say you have friends down here. I definitely consider my DIS people friends! Thanks so much for thinking about us. It is getting really scarey. Evacuating has never crossed my mind for any hurricane. This is different. We are not leaving though. My house is off the ground so I'm not worried about flooding. It is, however, surrounded by huge oak trees. I think we are going to go over to my sister's house just 5 minutes away. She has no trees and a generator! I just don't want to be out of power but they are telling us to expect 4-5 days with no electricity. Yay. I will try to keep posting as often as I can. We probably won't lose power until mid to late Monday, so until then, I'll be posting away:thumbsup2

Laura, I hope and pray that your home is safe. I am really starting to freak out a bit! I am glad you are heading to Miss. I10 west is going to be insane. I really feel like Gov. Jindal is ontop of things and people are remaining pretty calm for the most part. I really hope that you are able to post from Miss. I am going to be sooooooo worried about you. Take care of your babies and be safe. We'll talk again soon:hug:

And oh yeah, GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Sadly, I am not much in the posting mood tonight. I am quite nervous about what is going to happen around here on Monday. As I've said before, we have 5 or 6 very big oak trees around our house that I am terrified may come crashing through our roof! Here are a few pics of my house and the trees.

1255keed010.jpg

And these are just a few that I have pics of! We will be heading to my sister's nearby who has no trees and a generator. The news just said for Baton Rouge to expect no power for a week:scared1: God help me. At least I'm not pregnant this time! Anyway, sorry to not be oozing Disney right now. I just have a lot on my mind. I did print out about 20 pages of WDW secrets that someone posted on another thread. It will be my reading material while living like the pioneers. I will try to find the link because it's awesome. Alright, time to watch more weather. More later:)

Hi!

I just got caught up again with your PTR.

I too am slightly worried about the hurricane. I pray that we who live in the Gulf coast area will all be safe. I try to be prepared during hurricane season, having lived through the horrible Rita evacuation experience years back. So I have my water, flashlights, batteries and canned goods ready. My Tahoe has a full tank of gas at all times, just in case.

Take care, and God bless us all.

Jen
