Turning Disney 14 day tickets into Annual Passes

Morning!

So, we are paying for our 14 day passes today, which are currently being held by a deposit (Orlando Attraction Tickets) for our 28th of December holiday.

We also have a week booked for next September.

Does anyone know if you can still upgrade 14 day U.K. tickets to annual passes, so we can take advantage of our tickets still on our next trip?

I'm not sure. But was considering this and saw that might be better to upgrade to 21 day tickets because they are worth more of a discount.

Don't know if option is still available,. If it is simple to do and worth it I did it in November, used it in February, now with the extension I'll get to use it in December

I guess it will depend on if they are selling tickets when you go. My guess is they will be selling tickets by the end of the year and then it is my guess they will be allowing upgrade to AP

Go to Disney springs while on your trip and check at the ticket store. I bet by January (which will be in your trip) they'll open up ticketing again and you can just pay the difference

Thanks everyone! I’ve never had two trips overlap to do it before, but after we moved our August trip to a December trip, the cheapie week trip we are booked on for next September (no parks initially just sun, food, resort touring and shopping) using our DVC points, now looks like it could be worth it for a few $$$ more.

Just to say you should be able to check at any park ticket counter. I managed to do in September last year but obvs with everything currently going on I don't think anyone really knows. All ticket counters however (including Disney Springs) have a set price for the upgrade based on the type of ticket (as of last year) where as previously different ticket places gave different prices.

I just checked the current price of an AP and it's really been hiked up to $1196+tax for the platinum pass, which is the four parks only. Working out the UK price on the current exchange rate it's not good. If you used it twice on vacations of 15 days or more then you'd break even. However, you can factor in the discounts of 20% off goods in most, but, not all shops and the discounts at table service restaurants, if you eat at them and the freebies that you may or may not get, it could be worth it. The only other plus is if you plan on renewing your AP in the future where you save $180.
Of course, it is worth remembering only one of you in your party needs to have an AP to benefit from the discounts etc, so if you are a family of four only one AP is necessary. For a solo traveller like myself, not so much.

Also you get parking on the AP so this makes it just about break even for 2 trips. This was why I did mine in September but then with COVID I havent' actually been able to go for a second trip anyway
