Turkish Delight?

My DD (15) wanted to know if anyone knows if she can get Turkish Delight anywhere at Epcot? She said she had some at school and it was the best candy she has ever eaten...BTW, what the heck is it?

... she's recently watched Narnia, huh? I noticed all my younger cousins asking for them after seeing the movie!

They are usually a Christmas-time candy that are gooey in the center and coated in powdered sugar. It's a starch and sugar candy that's usually flavored with lemon and rosewater. I always liked the color when I was young... a pale pink! I would tend to doubt you can find any in Epcot. They are usually a Balkan thing.

You can find the recipes online usually. My mom used to make them at Christmas-time... they were my Dad's favorites when he was little. Kind of funny since it was during World War II in London (just like Narnia).

They have these bars and boxed sweets all over here in the UK. Shame they dont have them in EPCOT. Would be a good thing to have at food n wine festival. Its like gelatine flavored with sugar and rose water and colors range from pale yellow to dark pink. One of my favorite treats here in the UK is A 'Fry's Turkish Delight' it dark pink turkish delight coated in Cadbury's milk chocolate. Its actually low fat!
