Turkeys! You can't rush perfection Michael!

How'd I miss that update? I always hate talking to the WS CMs in their native languages too (I speak and used to teach French) I think I'm so bad, but they're always so nice about it!

I didn't know there was paper making at Innoventions! I'll have to check that out - we always skip those buildings :confused3

Happy cleaning!

After Epcot we just went back to SoG and hoped into the hot tube after a very hard search for how to turn on the jets!

****

I woke up to Turkeys! Yet again! I figured they were eating the bugs in the grass near my side of SoG. It was cool! And I watched some people play some golf while I got ready. I woke DH up at 8 AM.

.................

He wasn't too happy with me. We didn't even stay out that late! I think we hit the hay around 9 PM. But he was still tired. I forced him out of bed by 9 AM. It was really hard and then we finally ate buffet at SoG and then hoped on the bus but like 11 I think. It was late but not too bad!

We walked into the parks and forgive me I don't know who these CMs are suppose to be as celebraties. But they were there fighting.

DisneyWorld2010178-1.jpg

Then they both noticed that I had already taken a picture and was about to walk away and they called me back and said they weren't ready for me. And asked me to take a second picture. So I did. :)

DisneyWorld2010179-1.jpg

After that we headed towards TToT. We caught another act on the street. Sorry I don't know who these guys are either. :P

DisneyWorld2010180-1.jpg

We got on on the TToT! Which is great as always and grabbed a FP for it and then headed over to check out the times for Lights! Motors! Action!

We passed all this on the way. Too bad we always miss Star Wars Weekends. Maybe some year we'll go!

DisneyWorld2010182-1.jpg

DisneyWorld2010183-1.jpg

We passed Lighting McQueen but I didn't want to stand in the long line just for him. So we found the times for LMA but it was about 2 hours away so I set my phone to a reminder to come back. We then headed to the great movie ride!

DisneyWorld2010185-1.jpg

Were in the middle of the Aliens spot on the ride I lost my sunglasses. I almost jumped out of the car to get them.

It was so tragic! I paid $40 for them! I was very unhappy about it for the remainder of the ride. DH quickly countered the first CM on the ride staff he saw and we told him where I lost my sunglasses. They told us to wait on a bench near the exit of the ride and they would have someone retrieve them for me. In the mean while a CM came over to us and offered a coloring book to wait it out. Haha! He was so funny! I asked him in the crayons would melt in my purse and he assured me they wouldn't so we took them. The wait wasn't very long before another CM came with my glasses. She said an Alien was wearing them and she had to fight to get them back. I thanked her several times and then we headed back to LMA.

I won't kill you with all the pictures I took of it. Just a few! It was an awesome show though to say the least and I'm so glad this year we got to see it!! DH was very very happy about it. He is really into cars. And was very impressed with the driving skills.

DisneyWorld2010188-1.jpg

DisneyWorld2010199-1.jpg

After that we headed over the the Backstage tour. They didn't ask for a volunteer to act out the movie this time. Did something happen or do they sometimes change it? It made me wonder if someone got mad cause they got soaked or something...

DisneyWorld2010201-1.jpg

DisneyWorld2010202-1.jpg

DisneyWorld2010203-1.jpg

We caught the end of LMA again on our ride.

DisneyWorld2010206-1.jpg

After that we started to get a little hungry which I was planning on and we made our ADR for Mama Melrosa's. I don't think I'd ever eat there again. It's just like every other Italian place I've been to. I didn't think it was really that great at all. So mental note don't eat there again. I might try the Sci-Fi dinner again and just request a car seat.

Shortly after that we headed over the the Journey Through Narnia. Now don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the movie but I felt like I was stripped of about 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back again. It was not even okay it was just down right boring and it was telling the movie pretty much. So I wasn't very impressed.

Up next Fantasmic! And the Little Mermaid?? No way!

Your EPCOT pictures are fantastic! I can't wait to go back :upsidedow
I love Epcot that is my most favorite park! I thikn I like it more than MK! Thank you! Epcot was my super lucky day!!
Hey, Dina! I hope you'll come over and check out my new PTR! I'd love to have you join in! :goodvibes Can't wait for the next update! popcorn::
I'm so joining your PTR! I can't wait to read about it! :) It's so exciting getting married isn't it? What are you guys going to do for the ceremony and stuff??

I used to too before I found out about the cool things inside. :) Next time you go you should totally stop. There are a lot of cool things there! I also downloaded and app on my phone that lets me check the ride times and show times for the parks so I was always in the know about what I wanted to do that day. It was awesome!

I think it's good to practice but I'm so shy about how bad I'm getting I don't want to even try! I totally understand what you mean. They can be so nice. I think they just like the novelty of someone actually trying to speak to them in their native tongue rather than in just English. :P :yay:

 I can't believe you saw more turkeys! That is so crazy!

Sounds like you had a fun day at DHS! How scary you almost lost your sunglasses! I seriously think I would cry if I lost mine. I have such a hard time finding sunglasses - most of them are too "tight" and squeeze the sides of my head and give me a headache. My current pair are nice and "broken in" :thumbsup2 I'm so glad you were able to get them back! And I love how the CM returned them - that just shows how they really go above and beyond at Disney!

It is very exciting! Although the whole wedding planning is a little stressful right now - there's just so much to do. Even though we still have a year I feel like I'll never get everything accomplished. :confused3

I'm planning on doing a wedding-plans related post on my PTR soon with lots of details! :thumbsup2

You got some great shots of LMA! Love the shots of the street performers too. Can't wait for the next edition....

I can't believe I never noticed these links in your siggie! I gotta go back to read it all now.

Yay for the start of your TR! I'm excited to read about all of your adventures. Can't believe it took me so long to get over here!

Whoa, a rushed morning! Ahhh, I hate that, but at least you were able to catch the plane! That would've been a bad start. The rain is disappointment enough!

I like the pics of Shades of Green. It's not a hotel that many people write about in TRs, so I like that you and DH can stay there to share it with us!

That's so frightening to see so many HUGE BIRDS hanging out by your room! There used to be wild turkeys on my college campus, and their gobbling would sometimes interrupt our classes, haha. I've seen one or two in a day, but never so many at one time! Scary.

I like that the CM gave you some photographing tips! I would count that as a little bit of pixie dust.

Oh YAY! Being able to eat meat is such good news!

Aww, too bad you guys didn't have Snow White last because then it would've brightened your mood at the end. I wonder how the princesses feel when they interact with adults. I mean, you're all probably close in age, so maybe they're unsure of whether or not you'd be okay with their acting all princessy. I think they should assume that everyone wants them to stay in character!

I wish you didn't have to feel sick after Mission Space, but it's showing me that maybe I should just avoid it myself. I'm too scared to go on the mild side just in case I do feel sick. Why risk it, right?

I love the pic of you and DH standing on line at Living with the Land. Your shoes in your line #5 is so cute!

Haha, it's funny seeing your Living with the Land photos because the pineapples are much bigger than when I saw them. Also, the sunflowers in your pics are blooming whereas when I saw them, they were nonexistent.

What a great pic with Mulan! There's a good amount of background in the pic, which really showcases the atmosphere.

Haha, I'm reading and I see this: "Upnext RachelNinja told me I could make paper but where??? Where did she say again??" I really hope you got to do it! I'm going to keep reading to find out ... yay, you found it!!!

That's so cool that you were able to talk in Japanese to the CMs! That's definitely a memorable experience. I'm glad you tried!

Haha how cute that the CM said that she had to fight the alien for your sunglasses. She could have easily just handed it back to you and have that be it. I started thinking about what it'd be like to just WALK into that scene. Haha, kinda scary, and I don't think I could do that!

Woohoo, caught up! Can't wait for more! So fun to read!

Ok, I'm finally ALL CAUGHT UP! Um....was it on this trip you didn't like the Sunshine Seasons? I read your last TR right before this so I may have messed them up.

I really hope to meet Mulan too! And maybe Mushu if I'm lucky. I LOVE dragons.

Ok, I can't give a huge long reply like Ninja did....cause I'm not sure of the order.....

Anyways, I plan to speak Japanese at the Jap Pavilion too, just to practice. I'm going to try to get Andrew to too, but I don't think he retained much from his one year in Japanese class. I took about...5 years of Japanese....but I don't get the chance to practice much unfortunately. Wish me luck!

I wonder how they will respond if I told them I know Jap because I'm otaku....Maybe I just won't say that word.....

I think it is SO COOL that you got TURKEYS right outside your window. I've never seen a live turkey, let alone a wild one.

I didn't even know SoG was a military hotel. I learned something new!~

BTW, from your TR about last year, where did you get the Stitch ears? Or did you buy them in another park? I bought mine in 2006 and recently moved houses, so it got lost in the transition. I really want another pair

Hi there! I just found your TR and really enjoying it.

Loved all your princess pics and stories! I had good luck meeting them at WS a few years ago. It was fun chatting them up!

Too funny that you got called 'Jasmine' (I can see the resemblance!)

Hahah! Thank you! I'm half Turkish so I guess there is a strong Middle-Eastern look about my face!

It was Sunshine Stations! I was so mad at the CM I didn't know what to do. That was the second of rude peole that trip. I get free checked bags when I travel too. When I checked in with the airline we were the first flight of the day. So in my mind I can't see a reason why the lady would be so mad already. But I told her we were in the military so don't we get free checked bags. She procceded to yell at me telling me I should have told her in the first place that we were. I was like you didn't even speak to me when we walked up how was I suppose to know?!?!

Yep. No one can just walk into SoG and it's hidden so you would never pass unless you drove behind the Poly. :) But it's very nice and I'd totally stay again!

I got the Stitch ears at Tokyo Disneyland. It was my third trip there and I had to have them when I saw people walking around with them. I love them. But this trip I totally forgot them at home. *shiku shiku*

More is one the way! I love making paper and now I use my paper as a book mark for cookbooks. So every time I open it I go of yeah! I made that!

I am soooo cheap sometimes! I got those shoes at Target and totally love them! I think they were like $20! And they never hurt my feet! I wear them almost everywhere!

Awww, it's too bad you didn't bring them. *shiku shiku* indeed. And it's also too bad you didn't get them at WDW....Mariethecat will be going soon, so she's going to check for me.

It's unbelievable how unnecessarily cranky some people are. Maybe she's just not a morning person?

Maybe she isn't...oh well it's neither here nor there. I just won't eat there again. :P

After we watched LMA we headed over to Mama Melrosa's. It was okay.....I wouldn't write home about it. Like I said before. So we headed over to the Little Mermaid show and took some snapshots on the way and saw the Monsters from Monsters Inc. I was way to lazy to stand in line just for them so I took some pictures and pushed forward.

Yay! We made it to The Little Mermaid show! Not my most favorite show but it is truly enjoyable!

Right after the little Mermaid we headed over to Indian Jones! I love that show.

The people they picked out of the audience were really great! One guy (not the fake guest) was really funny when he pretended to die.

This guy!

DisneyWorld2010224-1.jpg

After Indy we waited around for a bit. Trying to decide if we should go back to SoG or just wait for Fantasmic. We decided to wait and hopped on to TTOT a few times. It's always more fun each time you go on it I swear!

We ate at the CS near the entrance to Fantasmic. It was just okay. We waiting a little bit long like a hour before the show. Then I saw people beginning to file into the entrance and I got a little worried. I told DH maybe we should just go in and try to find seats. He was thinking it's be okay and we could wait 30 minutes till show time. I ended up winning and we went in a hour before the show.

Which I'm glad we did! I think if we waiting half an hour longer we wouldn't have gotten in. The place was almost full when we got there! DH told me to save us seats and he went to go some popcorn and a beer.

Once he came back we still had about 35 minutes till show time. I think everyone was getting pretty bored awaiting for the show to start so a wave started. It was really small because I think the other side of the theater wasn't ready for it. Then all of a sudden the ripple from that side and came crashing down to our side quickly. I think in total we spent about 15 minutes doing the wave. It was soooooo funny because you'd see just a few people jump up and then everyone else would catch on a it'd just go crazy and then be nothing for a few seconds and then BOOM!

Another wave! It was really funny! I'm sure the people in the desert spot didn't have nearly as much fun as the people did in the lower seats.

The show started right after that. I'm glad we decided to watch it! It was totally worth it!! And I finally saw Pocahontas!

UP NEXT! Animal Kingdom!

I keeps meaning to see the little mermaid show, but I never get to it. And I'm super jealous you made it to Fantasmic. I have tried in vain for the last 4 trips now to make it, and keep failing miserably. I'm glad you got to see it!

Haha, look at Sulley's eyes! They're going in 2 different directions!

The wait for Fantasmic can get pretty long. I don't mind waiting that long if we're sitting, but I think being in such close proximity to other people (especially if they're being rude and inconsiderate) makes the situation more tense. I can't imagine waiting there when it's hot out! That would be torture.

I love how Megara is on the boat at the end. I was excited to see her!

Next time I'm at DHS I'm definitely seeing some of the shows! I think that will help to pass the time there - we have a hard time spending more than a few hours there! :scared1: I'm glad you enjoyed Fantasmic! I have yet to see it! It's on my list for the Disneymoon, though! :thumbsup2

It's a fun show, isn't it? Did you enjoy Fantasmic better here or at DLR?
