I know the Magic Kingdom has the turkey legs available around the park, but do the other parks have them as well. In the past I never paid much attention because we never got one, however, my DD absolutely loves turkey and always asks for the leg when we make turkey. This would be a great snack for her when we go in June.

Thanks

Epcot - right infront of the American Pavillion. One side is the funnel cake, the otherside is the turkey leg.

AK - I believe they are in the Dino land?

MK - I think they are only available in Frontierland. A little cart near the outpost. I remember asking about them in Tomorrow land and they pointed me that way.

WDW TURKEY LEGS "411":

1) Disney sells about 1.5 MILLION turkey legs every year!
2) That is about 7 turkey legs for every man-woman-child in Orlando.
3) Each of these bird legs weighs about 1.5 pounds for about $12 or 1-CS DDP Credit.
4) They supposedly come from 40-50 pound turkeys!
5) Nutrition, per Lisa Haines, VP Communications, WDW
. . . about a half day's worth of a grown-man's calorie goal (1,092 cal each leg)
. . . about a day's worth of a grown-man's fat goal (54 gr each leg)
. . . about two day's worth of a grown-man's sodium goal (5,283 gr each leg)
6) Recipe
. . . take uber-monstrous one leg
. . . inject copious amounts of salt brine
. . . smoke slowly at 225º for 4 hrs.
7) Available at the below (all Turkey Legs taste the same, and from he same vendor)
. . . MK - Liberty Square at Turkey Leg Cart
. . . MK - Tomorrowland at Launching Pad
. . . EP - America Adventure at Fife and Drum Tavern
. . . AK - Flame Tree BBQ at Safari Turkey
. . . AK - Dinoland at Trilo Bites
. . . AK - Africa at Flame Tree BBQ
. . . HS - Tower of Terror at Toluca Legs Turkey Company
. . . TL - Surf Doggies
. . . BL - Avalaunch

NOTE: We really do like the taste of the turkey legs. However, we seldom finish one,
so we save the calories for later. We still get the legs when we have a hankerin'. In
addition, they do seem to be pretty "stringy".

That's one heck of a "snack"! :scared1:

Just and FYI, the turkey legs are smoked. Myself and my family love them, but just keep in mind that they don't taste exactly like a leg from a regular turkey you make at home since they have a smoky taste but are yummy.

Wow awesome!

hmm, maybe a turkey leg might be to much for my DD, though I know she would finish it. I don't think I want her having that many calories, fat and sodium at once.

Thank you to everyone for the information. Very much appreciated.

That's exactly why I can't eat them. :rotfl2:

It's supposed to be turkey, but it looks (and tastes) like ham! :confused3

We are a family of carnivores and we really like them. We don't get one every time we go, but when we do, we all share one. It's so messy, with us sitting on a curb somewhere handing around this huge leg and pulling/biting hunks off of it. No graceful or cute way to do it, really, but every now and then a person just wants a big huge turkey leg to gnaw on!! :rotfl:

DH gets one himself. I share with my 2 little ones. And I've started carrying ziplock baggies just for this :lmao: It's stilll good the second day, right from the fridge!
