What do people think of the turkey legs in DL? They look so good, but DH wants to know if they taste as good as they like?

TIA! :goodvibes

Yes, they taste really good!

My son tried one and was sick with indigestion the rest of the day. I don't know if he just got one that was bad or what, but noone in my family has tried one since. BTW, he was only 14 at the time and didn't eat the whole thing.

Yes they are nice but i found them to be really salty. Hubby & i could not finish it between us.

I found it very salty and it did not taste like turkey at all. I could have sworn I was eating a ham hock.

VERY salty! Our family of 5 split one... and my small portion was more than enough for me. They do make for some great pictures though... very cave man like :)

I do agree they're a littl salty... But SOOOOO good. And actually a good priced (for DL anyways) meal if shared :)

We tried one last trip. Not too impressed. Very salty, and as PP said , tasted very much like ham to us. We gnawed on it for awhile, and threw it away with quite a bit of meat still on it.

I agree, definitely does not taste like turkey. Tastes like smoked ham but very good. Too much for one person.

Greasy, salty smoked dark meat. If it helps, those legs are the same quality as you'd find at state fairs. For my health, I'd prefer eating a cheeseburger minus the bacon rather than one of those smeary drumsticks.

DH is a massive turkey fan and they gave him indigestion.

They're alright. You can try them once just to try it

I probably won't ever buy them again, but they're just alright.

Could use some stuffing and mash potatoes with 'em tho :D

We had our very first one today! I've been hearing about them since I started planning our 2007 trip, but had never tried one. Thye sounded gross, and looked gross. My son saw one yesterday and it was all he talked about today until he got one. I didn't think he'd like it. My Mom made him turkey legs awhile back and he didn't like them. The ones here are smoked, tender, and ours wasn't overly salty. It is messy to eat though!! I had to try it and liked it, and hubby who totally isn't a turkey fan had to try it after hearing us talk about it. He ended up finishing it off. It was $8 and a really good afternoon snack to hold us over to dinner after a late breakfast!

I had one a couple years go and will never touch one again. They looked so good but were aweful. I didnt get sick but man it didnt taste good at all. It was very salty and is it possible for something to be totaly greasy yet be as dry as desert sand at the same time?

I would suggest passing on them. I would rather roast and eat my own leg as opposed to those things again.

Your comments are hilarious and made me have a good belly chuckle - we will spend the $8 on churros instead! Thanks so much for the feedback! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the feedback - as I said to DisneyMax74, I think we will spend the $8 on churros instead - yummy!

You know, there are certain things in life that you must do yourself in order to have an opinion. Food taste is personal. Everyone has a different opinion about different foods. The cost is not so much that it will break your bank. In case you don't like it, don't go for it again. If you don't try it yourself it will never be YOUR experience or opinion, and who knows? You might like it. Don't be afraid of food. In terms of food, nobody's taste buds will substitute your own.

I couldn't agree more :goodvibes

yeah, i dont find it salty like most ppl say they are.

But i can see why people say that, as they are actually smoked first(hence the saltiness)
