Turkey Legs Gone Wild...

Second! I am going in two weeks and I can't wait! Whoever said it was weird because it smelled like ham... I love ham!! Maybe that has something to do with it? I also want to try the pork shank at Gaston's tavern this time around. I don't know how I missed this. Probably cause that part of Fantasyland was mobbed every time I went for the past 3 years.

I can't stand the smell. They smell like ham...it's just wrong.
I don't think they smell like ham....but I do think they smell absolutely REPULSIVE....just like funnel cakes and most standard "American Park Food" which all has excess salt and sugar...

Bleh...so gross

The Turkey legs are a WDW trip requirement .......very trip. We can find them 100 feet away by the wonderful aroma. My son and I love them. They may not be the healtest thing, but your at WDW, enjoy!
AKK

The pork shank at Gaston's was replaced with beef stew. At least for now it has been.

My boyfriend is determined to get a pork shank as well. We'll see :p

When it comes to those turkey legs, to each their own. I have a strong stomach and can handle watching open heart surgery, witness a live birth, I can even handle seeing a live road kill, but I can't stand the sight of someone gnawing on one of those things with grease, brine, and whatever else dripping down their chin as they walk through the park.... I'll pass. :crazy2::faint::scared1::rotfl2::lmao:

Forget the sodium or the calories, what bothers me is that those legs come from turkeys engineered to be so large that many of them are unable to walk. They just sit in their barn and wait to be killed.

I'm not sure anyone ate one of those greasy, salty turkey legs and thought "Oooh, this is so healthy!"

I've thought those were gross ever since I caught a nasty case of stomach flu at WDW that hit me in Frontierland. The only open bench to sit down was right next to the turkey leg stand (needed to wait it out before taking the bus back to the resort). Ended up going to first aid after a few minutes. That smell nearly killed me.

Did someone put a gun to your head and force you to eat the "awful" parl food? Unless you're footing the bill, why do you care what others eat while they are on vacation?

No but because of the foul stench being emitted from the stands you are forced to walk past said foul stench...

So I heard through the grapevine that Cool Ship in Tomorrowland was the only place in MK to get a Turkey Leg while they were doing work in Frontierland. Is this still the case? THe articles said the move was temporary and they'd move back "later this year (2015)". This is about as "late" as this year gets, so I'm hoping they are back.
