We had family movie night last night - watched King Kong - the original. DH couldn't get over the differnce with HD.

While we sat, I worked on my laptop and designed my first magnet.

Ahhhhh....Steve and Andrew decided to go camping so it's just me and the dog this weekend! I'm in my basement office working on grants...and the dog is laying on the couch in my office snoring. Not all that much different than having the boys home except that she's quieter and doesn't yell MOM every 10 minutes!

Sunday River tested its snowmaking machines on Saturday, September 26, 2009.

Can't get enough of that chill in the air? It's already snowing in Maine.

OK, not real snow. Sunday River fired up their new snowmaking machines Saturday to get ready for ski season.

Heading to Puerto Rico for work early Sunday morning. Have to work out of town for a few days.... I hope for some Sunny weather. It has been wet and rainy in West Virginia...

I am really counting down the days until our Disney vacation... I can't wait.

Well, I got sidetracked from grant writing today and decided to clean my office instead. So....2 trash cans full of shredding later (and a trip to Wal-Mart for another shredder)....and my office is actually incredibly clean! Gasp....I can actually find things in it now!

So, now that my office is clean, I guess I'll have no excuses tomorrow for writing.

Wendy, have a great trip to Puerto Rico...I remember going to the fort there when I was about 15.

Sherrie, thanks for the magnet design...I love it!

Lisa, sorry about the snow. True story, when I went to visit Steve once in the summer I asked him why they had all these really tall signs by the fire hydrants. Well, when I went to visit him one weekend during the winter, I found out first hand why....snow was about 4 ft. deep and there's no way they would have found the hydrants without the really tall signs!

Ugghhhh....I'm not ready for winter....but I am ready for the cruise!

Another family movie night tonight. I really needed to be working since I'll be off on Monday but I just couldn't go downstairs to my office. I need to do what Karen did -- major cleaning and shredding. I guess I'll work in the morning before watching football in the afternoon.

Lisa - can you send us a pic of what it looks like up there now? I bet it's beautiful. My nephew who plays football for Gallaudet was in VT today and texted my brother how pretty it was. He was more excited that he got to play in his first college game today.

I just booked our 11/21/09 cruise on the Magic and just found this thread. I tried to go through the posts to figure things out and got a little overwhelmed, ha. So, are you ALL going to be on that cruise?? That would be so wow. It is not our first cruise but our first Disney cruise and I am over the top excited!! My bday is on turkey day this year so it will be extra special. Glad to have found this thread.

My name is Lisa - I am cruising with my Charlie (DH) and Renee (DD 17) as well as Sharron ( my sister - deaf ) and Chip (my brother in law - also deaf)

Right now we are in GTY rooms and hope to have our room assignment soon


I will look for some snow pictures and try to figure where to post them - one year we had snow up to the tip of our garage- amazing - I do love snow though - and since my commute is only a mile now - I do not mind it at all --- DD is who I will worry about now as she is a new driver...

In our cabin, somewhere on the ship, is me, DH, and our 2 boys - 14 and 9. This is our first ever cruise and we are so excited, especially, now that it is getting closer.

A lot of the cruisers here have cruised together before but they accepted us newbies very warmly.

Feel free to ask any questions -- everyone has been so helpful.

Thought I would check in. My goodness, alot of catching up to do. We are so very excited here. Think I am going to take out a suitcase and start putting some things in it as I think of them.

Things have been really busy here. Seems everyone has a cold. Since I work at a college, I can not use enough purrel and lysol. Attendance is in and the students want their FA.

It is beautiful here with all the leaves changing colors, like Lisa, we are enjoying the season. Love the fresh apples, and with Halloween around the corner, have started to deck out the house. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Ordered the Gypsy from HSN the other day and am going to have a ball designing away on the sea days. Thought it will be perfect for the cruise. I can think of pages during the cruise and havve them designed before I even get home.

I noticed I was listed twice and I'm guessing that is because of our 2 rooms. Might be easier to list me and then my parents (missjudit) as a separate room. We (jeniamt) are in room 7080 and my parents are in the connecting stateroom.

By the way, I saw the t-shirt design but must of missed the post as to who I'm supposed to let know about the t-shirts. Could someone please repost the info?

Oh, and by the way, anyone out there using Photoshop Elements 6 for the Mac? I just bought it in hopes of making some awesome signs for our doors and I'm totally lost. I need a book or website to point me in the right direction.
