Hey...what time in the morning do they boot us off the ship the last morning?

The good news is that if you have late dining, you have late breakfast on the last day. If you have early dining, you have early breakfast the last day. Since we have late I don't have to scare anyone with me in jammies and no shower on the last day!

Oh, that reminds me. When you are packing to get off the ship, don't forget to leave out clothes for your last morning. I couldn't believe it but I actually saw people in their jammies because they packed everything! Way too funny!!!

Anyway, I think last time we were off the ship and through customs by 9ish.

Okay. . so I stayed up to book reservations for cruise activities and High Tea is not available , Palo reservations are only avail for night 1,. Is this normal? Did everyone cruise before and sign up ahead? I was able to get a Cabana massage and Parasailing

If anyone is giving up their High Tea reservation. . let me know.

I'm still excited anyways. . I can tell from catching up on reading the board, that all will work out! It's Magic, isn't it?

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I just love the idea of the FE's (now that I know what it means)

I have been trying and trying for high tea too. No luck.

That said, last year I tried and tried for Palo dinner and finally got SOMETHING. It always showed as full. On the evening we ate there, the restaurant wasn't even half full. Keep trying and then try again on board!

Hmmm, I looked yesterday and there were quite a few Palo dinner left. Don't know how it disappeared so fast. But High Tea has been unavailbale from day 1 (or day 90 in our case).

Just keep trying and if all else fails, go to Rockin' Bar D once on board. There are usually last minutes slots open up for waiting list folks.

So today DM talked me into going to Disney California Adventure. The benefit of living 20 miles away from Anaheim!!

Of course now I have tired legs.

Doing my part to 2300...

Disneyland is not as crowded as expected, but still lots of people.

First thing we did was Toy Story Mania at California Adventure. Line was 40 minutes long and boy it was hot. But once on the ride we were happy again. Dad proved to DS he's still King of the house on shooting games.

After the ride DS got a Disney Bar as treats. He reminded me that was and will be his nightly dessert on the cruise.

This reminded me, we need to bring ice cream cone onto the ship since they don't serve it on Deck 9. I'll be sure to bring some extra for sharing. Wonder will that fit on FE pockets

Some of you already knows California Adventure is due for a big facelift. Today is the first time we see how much is going on.

Most of the Work-in-progress is in the Boardwalk pier area. Many areas are block off for construction. If you ever been to DCA, the following attractions are being changed:

Golden State Auditorium - changing into a Little Mermaid theme ride/show.
The Big Orange spinning hanging ride - changing into a Mickey theme ride.
The lake - this will become a water show with lights and fireworks. I am hoping something like the illumination in Epcot.

They also have a map of what DCA will look like. The map also shows a Pixar Car theme area replacing Bug's Land. And there will be a Autopia type of ride but with "Car" theme. However, construction has not started for that portion.

The big water show is scheduled to finish by Spring 2010. The other WIP has 2011 shown on the construction signs.

So if you are planning a Disneyland trip, plan accordingly or check the Disneyland Disboard first.

I wonder if the facelift at DCA is a preparation to boost attractiveness for a West Coast Land and Sea package. This will be in time for when the Wonder supposedly come over here.

As far as I know Disney will know the children(s) ages and they will stick to the groups with little exceptions ( You may phone ahead) I think more exceptions are made for smaller children in lab and club.

I have a Stack question. How sticky are they about the age limits? I have a very big 12 year old and he will be traveling with his similarly sized 13 year old friend. He would easily pass for 14 or 15. Do you think they will let him in? He's not quiet but not obnoxious either.

No, a 12 y.o. will not be allowed in the Stack. On the Magic the Stack is for 14 -17 y.o.'s (on the Wonder it is 13 - 17). A 13 year old can go in the Stack with parent's signed permission and with a sort of "we'll watch them the first night for maturity level" from the counselor HOWEVER they then cannot go to the Quest (you basically have to pick one or the other.) They have a roster in each club of every kid on the ship and the birthdates.

Sorry. The 12 y.o. is better off talking the 13 y.o. into staying in the "assigned" Quest on Deck 2. (Which I found the boys like more than the girls -- lots of computer type things.)

Because ressies opened up yesterday for the 75 day'ers... I wasn't able to get Palo brunch at 84 days. I do agree -- the last time I was in Palo dinner it was 1/2 full. Many, many people book online and then later cancel because they like their dinner servers, they don't want to miss a show, they realized tha they booked for pirate night, etc.

DCL does hold 50% of dinner reservations for onboard booking for non-computer folks as well as for last minute bookings. Worse case scenario is to put your name on a same day cancellation list and you WILL get a reservation, but you have to be flexible.

We went to Cocoa Beach & Port Canaveral yesterday -- saw the Wonder in port as well as the RCI Freedom of the Seas (she is gorgeous) and a Carnival (maybe the Glory). We ate a late lunch at Grills in Port Canaveral which is a dock-side bar & grill in Port Canaveral right on A1A.

Wah, I wanted to be on the ships !!!
