Thought it was long since my turn to do the Greeting!!!

I have a Stack question. How sticky are they about the age limits? I have a very big 12 year old and he will be traveling with his similarly sized 13 year old friend. He would easily pass for 14 or 15. Do you think they will let him in? He's not quiet but not obnoxious either.

Well, 77 days from now I will be at the Welcome Aboard show and then waiting on dinner! This is my first time to participate in the FE exchange. I wish I could think of something original or creative, but I'm clueless!! I should be working on them now cause I know I'll be stressed out when it gets close to time and I don't have them ready! Anyway, that's what's on my cruisin' mind tonight. Just trying to post to contribute for the day!!

Do not worry about the FE items... Store bought items are great... Anything is great!!! I am just glad that you are participating.. Walking around the mall or browsing the internet... You will come up with something great.

Just booked today! It has been almost 2 years since we have traveled on Disney. Did the Christmas cruise with the same itinerary in 07. I am addicted to cruising, this will be our third this year. Just returned from sailing Freedom of the Seas in late July and couldn't wait until next summer. Earlier this year we did MSC, and italian cruise line. Now that was interesting

We picked up connecting rooms on deck 7 aft, our favorite place to be. We are a family of 6 plus my daughter's friend. So we will have 17 (DD), 17(F),
7(DD), 5(DD) and 5(DS)

We did the short version of the Turkey day cruise back in 2006. Glad to see some good rates and still rooms left on short notice!

So, I've been gathering the number of t-shirts needed, sizes, etc. I talked with our printer on Friday morning and it sounds like they will be in the same ballpark cost wise as last time. Adult shirts are about $10 to $11 each and kids shirts are about $9 each. )Note: I will update this when I have final cost from the printer.) Last time I shipped them in a "flat rate" box by the post office and that seemed to work out well.

So, here's what I propose:

1. I need to have your tshirt order (with sizes) by October 1.
2. I will place our order shortly after that and the order should get back to my house by October 25 (at the latest).
3. I will then sort, and pack everyone's order and will ship it to you (at the address you specify) via priority mail, flat rate box. We should all have our shirts by November 7 so that they can get washed and packed with our cruise stuff.

I've gotten some orders already...I'll post later who I've heard from (once I get that list together...I feel like the list-making queen right now!)

As far as I know Disney will know the children(s) ages and they will stick to the groups with little exceptions ( You may phone ahead) I think more exceptions are made for smaller children in lab and club.

Oh do I understand what you mean about a vey big 12 year old. My 11 year old is also very big...like 5'9" wearing a size 10 shoe! When I tell people he's 11 they want to faint! Come to think of it...so do I!

About the FE items...in 2007 people gave all kinds of different things. We had Hershey bars, magnets, small kaleidoscopes, pirate bandanas, bubbles, glow necklaces, books, note pads, pins, etc. So many different items!

When we got off the ship last time, I got an idea for a craft project that I was going to do for 2009. Andrew has been helping me make them for the past few weeks (yes, I should have started sooner).

The important thing about the FE items is to just have fun! Don't stress!!

Oh yeah, some people do one item and then they're done. Some do a couple of times a week. Some people do a family item...and some focus more on kids. It's really up to you.

Okay. . so I stayed up to book reservations for cruise activities and High Tea is not available , Palo reservations are only avail for night 1,. Is this normal? Did everyone cruise before and sign up ahead? I was able to get a Cabana massage and Parasailing

If anyone is giving up their High Tea reservation. . let me know.

I'm still excited anyways. . I can tell from catching up on reading the board, that all will work out! It's Magic, isn't it?

I've got a silly question. Is anyone thinking about rebooking on board? If so, for when (and I don't mean a fictional date)? Is anyone thinking about Turkey Day 2010 or 2011? Does anyone know how far out can we book?

Is anyone thinking about a 5 day Wonder this summer?

OK...so this movie is extremely hokey! The "guide" chick just happens to come by in a dinorsaur jaw for a boat....and they just "happen" to have rope even though they didn't have their backpacks with them...as a matter of fact they've left them behind several times yet always seem to have them.

Definitely a "guy" movie!

Well, I don't really know. This is our 2nd DCL cruise. I know that I was able to book at 90 days out since I'm a Castaway Club Member. Some folks have said that if you go to Rockin' Bar D (or Rockin' D Bar as Jodie Pillow likes to call it) the day we board reservations are open there since they apparently "save" a few.
