Turkey Day Gang 2009

A couple of ideas for our group magnet.

I LOVE this one!!!!! Your designs are amazing!!!

Hi folks,
I just added the Chung family to the blog. They would like to know how to notify the rest of the turkey gang if they upgrade at port. I thought it would be best if you answer instead of me.

Take care!

My hunch would be that by the time we are at port there will be no upgrades available. Chuck would probably have a better answer to this than me...but I'm pretty certain the ship will be fully booked before then.

With that said...here's hoping for the upgrade fairy :wizard:!

are we planning a DIS GROUP PARTY MEETING on the first day?
I know that day is usually packed to NO END -- but maybe a get together on Sunday Morning - since it will be a SEA Day...

then we can be sure we have all the right rooms - as I won't know mine till 30 days out and my Dsis is still trying to see if everyone on her side can make it!

I already have our room numbers, but since my school has already returned from summer break (I teach high school), my brain isn't working. I know we're on deck 2 in the same room we were last December. Right now, it is still DH, DS 5, DGM, DGP, and me (in 2 rooms). Anyone have kids in the 5 - 7 group? Just curious, so maybe my some could link up. My only goal is to make sure my dad has fun. I know the rest of us will. If he has a good time, we might be able to convince him to do one of the Mediterranean or European cruises.

Those of you going to MVMCP, let me know how it is. We always go to MNSSHP, but this is our first time for MVMCP. We don't go until the first weekend of December.

Anyone staying at the Hampton in PC?

I promise to do better about keeping up with the board, so I can get to know everyone better:)

Sherry

I just paid in full...:cool1: Now it seems real! Looking forward to a great first cruise. One question for all of you 7 night veterans. Is Pirate night on Tuesday? or does it change with each cruise? Thanks.

Hi Sherry! I have two boys; one 5 and one 7!! We just went on the 7 day in June and my 7 year old finally started wanting to go to the kid's club about the time it was time to get off the boat. My 5 year old only went when he had to (Palo brunch and 11:00 p.m. showing of The Proposal). Daddy will be with us on this trip and I'm hoping the 5 year old will want to go more so I may actually see the adult pool!

On past cruises we have worn our shirts on the first day. ( A great way to see each other) We have also gone up to the sail away party as group ~ GREAT FUN ~. We also add a couple of meets throughout the week. We like to hang in the Studio Sea for Who Wants to Be a Mousekeeter and that is a fun group activity.:cool1:

Just wanted to check in before we go back to Maine for the rest of our vacation...long story. We will have limited internet access so I will have to catch up on line with you all in Sept.

Wohoo.:rotfl: We are paid in full; bit the bullet & got the REAS package so we have booked our Palo dinner & brunch and the 12 metre Regatta excursion in St. Maarten. Decided it was better to do it this way than sitting outside the Stueben, ME Library @ midnight hoping that our laptop will pick up the wifi connection!:lmao:

Also have a ressie @ The Raddison at the Port for the night before embarkation & have a ressie on the first shuttle to the Port. Whew, I am sure I must have forgotten something, but right now I can't think what it might be.:scared1:

When we return will get to work on our FE gifts.:goodvibes

Will miss checking in to see what is going on with everyone, but my daughter Jennifer (jeniamt) will keep me up todate.:yay:

Have a blast in MAINE!!!

ok well once we all decide on the TSHIRTS - will we just get an iron on for us to do at home or do we order a TSHIRT from here? sorry newbie questions :)
DH and DD may want to wear the TSHIRT - :)

A few comments:

The updated dinner link list is on page 120 of this thread...if any others want to join, please post here or PM me.

As for football...Diversions and sometimes the Ariel screen

As for Dismeet - usually Deck 10 Starboard overlooking the dock just before and during sailaway party

As for finding people - the fluorescent green shirts work well and Larry and I are impossible to miss at about 6'8" each.

I posted my overall comments on the RCL / Disney comparison on my thread on Live reports.

!Hi everyone!

It's been a looong time since I've been on here...a busy summer....

We are going to MVMCP on the 20th. Never been before-are there any tips?

I"m not sure what else I've missed regarding shirts, magnets, get togethers etc. Can anyone give me a quick rundown? I'd appreciate it!:goodvibes

Thanks a bunch, now waiting till Sunday to book our stuff!!!, Tracy

Good to know. We should meet up. It might make it easier for our two five years old if they already know someone. DS turned 5 on our first cruise last December. We let him pick and choose what he wanted to do, so he was there maybe less than half the time. He would rather go there than to dinner with us. Today on our way home from school, he was telling me all the things he wanted to do in the kids club. We may never see him this trip.

On our last cruise, we had a very active thread. I made lots of designs and our FE group was great. A fellow cruiser emailed me this photo. Not only did they print the designs I made for them they print all the ones I made.

Really starting to get excited about how close we are getting....:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Wow Wendy - that's a lot of art work! We're very impressed. :worship: Do you have a thread you could link in here so we can see what you've done? I'm still too new and lacking on time to figure out where it is. The kids are looking over my shoulder while I type and want to know. Thanks!
