Turkey Day Gang 2009

The Fain Family (Cinderellyintx) are relatives of Mickeyhugger's family.:) (Priscilla's brother Matt, Angie (SIL) and Matthew, Manton and Hannah.):) We're looking so forward to this as this will be our first vacation together. Can't wait for the kids to have fun!

Can anyone recommend a Limousine service from the park to the port?

I can recommend cbshuttle.com. We have only used them once, but they were very professional + good prices. Good luck!

WOOHOO welcome Fain Family - and yahoo for family vacations !!

Hi guys, I posted this to the main DIScruise board but I'm adding it here too because it's just so kewl.

Everyone needs to go to this site.

http://www.pocketmod.com/

You can create an 8 page pocket organizer on your PC/Mac and print it out for travel or whatnot.

The options include,
Daily, Weekly, Monthly Calendars
Contact Info
General Lists
Shopping Lists
Games
Local Weather
Tables
Checkbook Register
Tip Tables
And More

But best of all it's free free free!

The fold and cut is a bit fiddly but there is a youtube video to get you through it. Once you do it one time it will be a cinch.

I can see so many uses for this for Dis board members AKA Disney Travel overplanners anomyous.

Have fun everybody!

So, it's Saturday morning and I'm sititing here feeling sorry for myself! DH's boss was fired Thursday and while I'm sorry for his family it's actually a very good thing for the plant, Steve and his co-workers. The bad part is that now our July Disney vacation is cancelled! No one has asked Steve to cancel it...and I know he's right :headache: ...it's the right thing to do...but darn, I was really looking forward to it (probably even more so than Andrew).

First the cruise is up in the air ... and now this! I think I may just go into Disney withdrawl:sick:!

Anyone got any pixie dust to spare? :sad1:

aawww -- pixie dust - love and best wishes that all works out for you and the family.

Times are tough right now - finances are tight for many and there are so many lay offs happening :( It is so scary. My sister and her family are now hoping and praying they can still come on the cruise with us - I sure hope so!!!

Today was a boating day for us - high in the 80's so it was nice. We took Renee's friends out - both are exchange students - one from Germany and one from Hong Kong -since the school year is over they are heading home :( so we spent the day just cruising along. Even with sun screen we all got toasted! We decided to sit at the sandbar in front of a nice hotel area for a few hours and Charlie and I heard a LOUD pop - so with it being BIKER week here in our small city - we thought it was a bike backfiring. Then all the siren's came from all over - it was quite spooky. We found out that a plane crashed in front of the hotel - EEK -- sadly the pilot did not make it - it was a tour plane - we are not sure how many passengers where on the plane - as it is still under investigation. But Charlie and I went to the site with the girls a little while ago - and it gave me the chills - if the plane did not hit the tree in front there could have been a good chance that he would have hit the lake -- the path was directly where we were.... :scared1::scared1:

For some that know what Biker Week is - that is the time where over 80000 bikers come in for a week - they take over our small city and all you can hear is the drones of the Bikes. There is black leather as far as the eye can see - we are hoping that this year will bring no gang wars and no nastiness - since the Hells Angels and the Devils' Disciples are all in town too... :scared1: If anyone has ever been to central NH - there is a tourist area about 5 minutes from my house that is called WEIRS BEACH and that is where they all hang... It is now 830 and all you can hear is BRRRRRMMMMMMM BRRRRMMMMMMMM BRRRRRMMMMMMM -

Oh well I am off to go watch Hancock with the kids and Charlie - talk to you all soon!

Thanks all for the warm welcome! I may have posted way back when at the time we booked and then looked at my calendar and it is 5 months away!!!!!!! I so need a vacation and by the time it is here even more so! I am trying to earn a cruise with my business so i will be working hard the next 5 month! Anyone want to buy any jewelry for the cruise!!!????

i have a picture of the Disboard group from last week's wonder (it was a small group, but a good group) posted on my facebook page icelaw21@aol.com. or simply under my name Chuck Eiss.

Awww, Karen....hang in there! :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Well....Steve had a great idea :worship:! His audit is done by 5 p.m. on September 18 and there's no reason we can't pick up and take off for Disney the week after the audit is done (since the auditors will be writing their report and Steve will be exhausted)...so I made reservations today!!!!:banana::banana:

We're flying out on the 19th in the morning (thank you frequent flyer miles) and we're coming back the following Sunday. And...to top it all off...it's FREE DINING and it's homeschool week with tons of extra activities for kids!

So, we're booked for Coronado Springs (anyone ever stayed there) and I can't wait. Now, if we can just keep the hurricanes away during that time I'll be a very happy camper!

Thanks for the pixie dust everyone.:wizard:

I LOVE it when things work out for the better! I believe things happen for a reason, whether we understand the reason or not. :) So happy your plans are back on! Now instead of missing Disney, you might be in Disney overload this fall! (yeah, I know... as if! :lmao:)

We went to see "Up" today -- I LOVED it! :3dglasses It had the preview of Princess & the Frog and I am really hoping it will premier while we're all on the Magic! It said "holiday release" so I googled. According to the New Orleans newspaper, it *could* be released in NY & LA on 11/25 but full release won't be until 12/11. Hmmm....

Hope everyone had a great weekend. :thumbsup2

Sounds great Karen!! :thumbsup2

We have stayed at Coronado Springs. It's a very nice property w/ a great quick service restaurant. You are given a ticket when you walk in, each person can choose whatever station they like and the ticket is stamped. At the end of the meal, you go to the cashier and settle the bill. Also, try to ask for a room near the main building...the property is very large!! :thumbsup2

Since you will be visiting Florida in September...remember rain gear...you will most likely need it at some point most days. However, you will still have a great time!! The rain in September does not prevent us from visiting WDW most labor day weekends!! :cool1:
