Since it's now just the 4 of us in this house for Thanksgiving now, I don't do extra appetizers. I make enough for the "main event" meal that there's always plenty to snack on later. What are you planning to make or bring to your Thanksgiving dinner?

Sauerkraut balls intrigue me - recipe if you could, please? It's just going to be my family of 4 this year. There is a slim chance that we'll have one guest and make a group of 5.
My plan is to do what I did last year, just make a spread of meats, cheeses, nuts, preserves, crackers and fruit.
Though after seeing the above ideas, I could make sauerkraut balls too. I have a friend from Akron, she taught me how to make them about 20 years ago. They're disgusting and wonderful.
We often eat these for breakfast on holidays. Throw in some nut/apricot roll, eggs, fruit, coffee and juice and you have yourself a nice little spread. Sausage balls are already in the freezer.Bisquick sausage balls are a MUST.
I will make a crumb cake for breakfast and my granddaughter will make a charcuterie board for lunchtime. Nothing else until dinner.
If anybody has a good dip including fresh artichoke I'd greatly appreciate it.

That is how our Christmas Eve usually is, and I am also enjoying the ideas! We don't really do any appetizers for Thanksgiving, but Christmas Day is entirely appetizers so I'm loving the ideas on this thread.
Appetizers are our whole meal on Christmas Eve. My sisters (4 of us total) each make 3-4 things plus we each bring a tray of homemade cookies. Best meal of the year. That is how our Christmas Eve usually is, and I am also enjoying the ideas!
We do a version of this, but I’ve always used canned artichokes though I don’t see why you couldn’t do fresh.Easy one is artichokes, mayo, bit of garlic powder and parmesan cheese.Mix all together, then bake until bubbly.Delicious.
