So far, I have heard nothing but GOOD about Turf Club. We will be staying at SSR in the beginning of May. We would want to dine there on a Monday night, do you think we NEED an ADR? I guess I should make one anyway, just not sure of the time.

Tell me the good and bad about the TC, please! Pictures would be great, too. Thanks!

We didn't care for the Turf Club. We had an ADR but it still took over 45 mins to get seated. The food was just okay and the service was not good. I think they might have been short handed that night. Whatever the problem was; it really affected our expirience

We usually stay the last week of April 1st week of May. During that time I have never had a problem walking in for lunch or dinner. Last year we napped through our dinner ADR and walked down about 45 minutes late and were still able to get right in. It may depend on the time of year and how busy it is.

As far a food and service, I liked the menu. It isn't anything too fancy. My older son who was 10 and considered an "adult" on DDP got a dish that was really too much above his tastes and he didn't care for it. They offered to get him whatever else he wanted. I don't have any complaints.

I am sorry to hear that! So far, I have only heard rave reviews (I have a thread on the resorts board asking about SSR in general) but I am always skeptical because I never hear TC mentioned very much on the boards. I assumed it was like Boatwrights at POR or Olivia's at OKW...good, but now "WOW" and only worth going to if staying at the actual resort (not worth taking transpostation to get to.)

I just made an ADR and will probably keep it, just because I know there are so many restaurants at WDW that some people love and others hate. We ate at Fulton's one night and it was the worst meal and service ever, but so many people say it is their favorite. I totally understand that we may have been there on an off night, but it was so bad that we feel stupid giving it another chance.

Thanks for your input, though!

Sounds like you felt it was "good enough." Would you travel to dine there again? I did notice the menu is awfully short, unless allearsnet has an abbreviated version of it posted.

We stayed at SSR the first week of Feb. Decided to try Turf Club one night for dinner no ADR were seated right away on Thursday night about 7. The service was good very nice waitress no complaints. The food was ok not that it was bad just ok. I wouldn't travel to eat there but may try it again if we are stayiing at SSR.

We ate there in September. The food was great, and our server was one of the best we've ever had at WDW.

Great steaks! The onion rings appetizer was soo good - and it was such a big portion that you can share it with several people! I loved the cheesecake, again it was a huge portion. The only down side was that one person in our group doesn't eat steak and couldn't find much to choose from that she liked (picky).

As far as making an ADR, we made one at the last minute, and it was pretty much the only restaurant we could find that was available. So I don't think it's as popular as some other resort restaurants.

Thanks, sue. That is kind of what I am figuring.

mlsclark-Well, we are big steak eaters and huge onion ring lovers, so at least that is VERY good news!:thumbsup2

Yes, I do like it. But the menu is fairly limited. Im not sure if I would go out of my way to eat there while staying elsewhere, not because it isn't tasty, but because there are soooo many other restaurants that we love. ;)
