Hi everyone. Question for the Dr's and Dr. Mom's out there.
When my sister and I were little, we would both faint any time we had the tummy flu. It didn't matter if it was food poisioning, a bug going around, whatever- we would faint. Does anyone know why? We wouldn't pass out for long... generally we'd wake back up within 15-20 seconds, if even that long.
The reason I'm asking is because I had a tummy bug on Easter (happy Easter to me...) and I fainted... twice. It just kinda freaked me out, especially since this time I was dealing with it alone. Does this happen to anyone else? I was dumb and just didn't sit down when I felt faint. DUH?! I learned the hard way- got a big old bruise on my arm... thank goodness NOTHING else got hurt! Note to self- sit DOWN when feeling faint
. I do normally have pretty low blood pressure (like 108-112 over 60-70), and I'm in good health.
I dunno why BOTH my sister and I used to faint when we would be tummy sick. I think it might be hereditary....
