Friday, April 6th-This is the last day of our camping adventure. I had decided that today we would just hang out in FW and see some of the things that were there. We took the bus up to the Marina area. Here we walked over to Trail's End for a late breakfast but it was closed so they could set up for the lunch buffet. No problem...I gave DS a roll of quarters and he hung out at the arcade while I wandered over to the Settlement Trading Post. For myself I got a really pretty sweatshirt with embroidery work of FW. For DS I got a really cute tee-shirt with Chip & Dale in a tent with a dictionary explanation of "camping nut". I also surprised him with Chip & Dale beanie babies. After shopping I went over and dragged
DS away from the video games so we could lunch at Trail's End. We had a very nice luncheon buffet.
After lunch we walked thru the petting farm. We had some bread in our bag to feed the hens and rooster that were there. As DS was picking off pieces of bread and throwing it to the chickens Minnie Moo was watching us from a distance. She wandered over and gave us the saddest eyes you can imagine! DS gave her a piece of bread and she loved it! She got cow slobber all over his hands! What a sweetheart Minnie Moo is!!
After the petting Farm we went back to the tent and changed to go swimming in the Meadows pool. What a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. We stayed for quite a while. We decided to attend the Campfire Program tonight since it was to be our last night there. We had hot dogs, nachos, chips, drinks and somores. This is truly a wonderful thing that FW puts on every night! The movie tonight was "A Bug's Life". We managed to stay awake till the end tonight.
In the morning I packed the car. How come everything went in so neatly going down and now it's crammed in?
Since check out is 11:00, We go over to the Meadows pool just one more time so DS can have a final swim.
This week we experienced a different side of Disney. It is my hope that when DS is grown he will look back lovingly at our "surprise camping trip to FW"! Happy Trails to You! TC
