I guess I have no idea! I started to invite folks...then I had second thoughts... in thinking...just see who shows up....and if it turns out to be a large group...that's cool..... if it turns out to be a small group...it'll just give everyone a chance to get to know each other better ...

I'm sure you're NOT a boring lot! If there's a small (free) trinket that represents the UK...that would be fun. Mardi Gras beads are free...and they throw so many now... that I stopped trying to catch any...but I have a bunch from past years that I'll bring.... just a little slice of "Cajun Country" LOL Anyway - it's easy for me to bring stuff because I'm driving in...

I know - I've had my trip scheduled for so long ....There's nothing left to do but hang out on disboards and blog... I wish I had more time...but DS18 gets out of school on 5/7 and graduation is 5/17...so we'll just be there 5/9-5/15including 2 days travel - driving in... it didn't leave much time for all the ADR's I wanted...but oh well....

Hey I Paid off my WDW vacation last week ! YAY!

Is there anything I've forgotten to do ? I hope not !

So exciting that it's getting close. I just got my flight info so tomorrow I'll call ME and arrange that. Maybe call DVC and request my building and check on the August ressie. Got a few 4GB memory cards to fill up for the trip.

I'm still "in." Having some medical issues right now so I haven't been on the boards much lately. Hopefully things will be resolved in time for my trip.

Everybody's probably just busy busy... I am too...but just SO excited about this upcoming trip....

It has been since July 2008 that I've been there...TOO long for a Disney Fanatic...
PLUS - my first visit with JUST me and DS....
PLUS - so many special "surprises" on this trip and new experiences for us... (new adrs, etc.)...

I'm on dis WAY too much...

Princess - Glad I'm not the only "Dis-aholic" LOL !

Clare - That's a Great Question...

These are the "Rain Locations" that have been suggested:

1) Martha's Vineyard (The Lounge at Beach Club)
2) Belleview Lounge (Lounge at Boardwalk by Lobby)
3) In BC Lobby close to Cape May (<-suggested IF we have DISMEET folks with kids... and I don't think we do at this point- so not an issue so far)...

I'm okay with any of the above... let's have a vote....

On another subject... I GOT MY WDW PACKET TODAY !

LOVE the luggage tags! Also - it had a 100 point video/arcade game coupon... SO I know what DS18 will be doing while we're having the DISMEET !

Please let me know if you want any particular snacks/drinks... I am driving in and happy to oblige....

If I had to pick one rain location it would be the Bellevue Lounge but that's because I'm biased as BWI is my favourite resort, however, ther eis a nice long covered balcony that we could 'take over'.

I'm happy with any, so majority rules

Clare - I just read your entire Trip Report... What a lovely visit ! We have a lot in common... I am 4 years older than you and I am terrified of flying. My DH (like your BF) is NOT a Disney fanatic as I am ....so this will be my first trip "accepting that" and just going with DS18...

I had to laugh at your comment "ax murderers".... This dismeet will be my "First Time"...and whenever I tell folks what is planned I joke that there is probably a 'serial killer' in the bunch... LOL ! What is "gluten free" ? I have heard of it but never had it explained.....

You and Deb have both met folks before from DIS... I think that's GREAT! I hope this first time leads to many more for me as well

Okay Dismeet Folks - anyone want to "vote" on our Rain Location for our Dismeet? It's still "up in the air"... so let's settle on something so we'll have a back up plan....

As Clare can tell you...we can have torrential rainshowers in May (Orlando weather is just like Baton Rouge weather)...so a Back Up Plan is a good idea...since NOTHING will stop me from the Dismeet... I am REALLY looking forward to meeting other Disfanatics like me !

I just found this thread and we'll be staying at BWV from May 2nd to the 14th. If we're not busy that night, we might stop by for a bit. We would probably have our daughter with us though. I like the idea of Boardwalk as an alternate location, but I'm a bit biased.

Clare - can you tell us the best way to get to Belle Vue from BC/BCV? I assume it's a small place like Martha's Vineyard at BC.... but if not... perhaps an idea of where we should congregate...

I Hope to have time to make some table markers with my lime green mickey heads from Home Depot... so folks can know 'who we all are'....

I ALMOST put a bunch of Abita (our local beer) can koozies and cookbooks in a garage sale for tomorrow...then thought... OH what a PERFECT "gift" for my new DISFRIENDS! (AND something LOCAL from Louisiana as well) so that's going in my car for the trip with the Mardi Gras beads...

I CAN"T believe it's only a month away....

Fingers crossed for good weather The best way to access the Bellevue Lounge is to take the side door along from the Flying Fish (walk along the side of Flying Fish by the green and there's a door on the left which takes you into a lovely small foyer, take the stair case up, as you get to the top of the stairs turn immediately left and the Bellevue is there.

The covered terrace is just directly outside the Bellevue Lounge - the only thing I'm wondering is if it's going to be large enough, depending on how many people are coming along? From what I remember I'm sure Marthas is larger?

Hello Clare ! Thank you ! I don't recall Martha's being that big really... I've only wandered in there a few times...as I always bring my own libations to WDW....

After reading your trip report...I'm a bit more interested in Boardwalk than I have been previously. It would be nice to see more than the pool area (which we walked through on a previous trip).

I got Disney mail today that says the large slide at Stormalong will be closed during our trip...but they will allow us use of the BW pool while we're there...so I'm not sure if DS might want to try out the slide over at BW...

Stormalong Bay...however will still be open so we can still plan to use it as our Good Weather Meeting place...

I can't believe I'll be at Magic Kingdom in exactly ONE month... PINCH ME I must be dreaming!
