It's Tuesday and started with a very overcast day that never showed the sun once during the day.
We woke up early at WL because we were doing the Flag Family thing. That was a really neat experience - one because we got to go up to WL's rooftop and the view from up there is breathtaking! You could see the Tree of Life, Earful Tower, SSE, the Castle, and the Swan/Dolphin. The kids had a great time raising the flags, they certainly didn't want to go downstairs anymore, especially after we passed the concierge area. Hmmm... methinks I need to rethink this whole concierge thing. I can get really used to the pampering.
So after that we packed our stuff and moved to POFQ. This is our first time here and I have to say I really like it. It's a very compact resort and everything is so near. We asked if we could get a room on the first floor of building 5 and the nice CM put us in room 5106 - right in front of the laundry room, a stone's throw from the pool, and only yards away from the food court. And speaking of the food court - why is it that the food court at the moderates and values seem to be a lot better than the deluxes????
We decided to go to AK this morning, but after spending about an hour there we couldn't take it. It was just too muggy. AK however was not busy at all. We walked on to FOTKL, and KS. So off to Rainforest Cafe for a spot of lunch. We had brought 1 adult VKL and 1 child's VKL. When we got there, the server (George) said that the child's and adult's were the same value and that we could just order the adult items off the child's VKL! HOLY SMOKES, Batman.... that's a steak and lobster entree, a shrimp cocktail appetizer, a bananas foster, and a souvenir cup drink for $15!!! Who thought this deal up?
After that, we went to Epcot cause the kids wanted to make cookies at the Land. So we did a little of that, a little Figment fix, and a little Ice Station Cool fix, plus a little Innoventions fix. Epcot once again was not crowded at all - in fact I would say it was somewhat dead in the front side. Test Track at 5:30pm only had a 10 minute wait. Living with the Land was a walk on, as was Journey into Imagination.
The evening took us to Coronado Spring's Pepper Market for dinner, and DTD for a little Mr. Potato Head shopping. Did you know there's a Dumbo ride base for Mr PH for $5? And a yellow poncho too! There's some packaged items for Mr. PH as well, for Halloween, Easter, and Christmas complete with an Easter Bunny outfit. Very very tempting!
So, that's how Tuesday at the World ended up for us... Stay tuned tomorrow for the late edition of Wednesday at the World.
For now, TTFN, goodnight and stay safe everyone.
