To remove the onion smell from your hands after chopping an onion, rub a metal spoon between your hands under a stream of cold water.
Hi, I'm in Lawton!! LOL
Does your water turn your sink and tub a dull orange color by any chance? Just wondering if all OK water was like that....
Since this thread seems to be headed the Oklahoma way.....Hello from Shawnee!
My favorite time saver tip is to always lay out your clothes (including shoes and jewelry) the night before. I also have DD10 get her clothes for the week ready on Sunday. It makes life so much easier!
And, if something doesn't work for you, try something else! I used to spend my mornings yelling, screaming, and fussing at DD to get ready for school. She would spend forever eating breakfast and then we would be running late. By simply having her get dressed and fix her hair before breakfast, all she needs is a two minute warning to brush her teeth. She still gets up at the same time, but she now often has time to sit and read a book and enjoy the morning before rushing off to school. Don't get stuck in a routine just because that's the way you've always done it!

I use a 1/2 dryer sheet to clean the stove when something gets burned on it (flat top stove..I don't know what they are called??)
If I get a pot or pan that gets gunk stuck to it, and I can't get it off, I let a dryer sheet soak in it, and it is so easy to clean up!
As you can tell, I burn lots of stuff and make lots of messes when I cook![]()
For the kids' lunch boxes, I buy the fold over sandwich bags instead of ziplocks (much cheaper). I make out the chip and dessert bags for the week and store them in a gallon zip-lock. That way the food does not get stale over the course of the week.
I buy the foaming soap dispensers and instead of throwing them out when empty I buy regular hand soap in the big container and put about 1/3 soap and the rest water to refill the dispensers. One refill bottle lasts several months for 3 dispensers.
