Wow...checked out TTS resale list tonight ( as I always do :coffee: )
and it sure is long....seems like I was scrolling down for ever.

I think this is the longest I have seen it. I wonder how much of it is people "cashing" out now that the resale prices are pretty high.

JMHO, but it seems that each year for the past couple years around tax time, it becomes a buyers market. There are a lot of people trying to pay taxes and one way is to sell DVC. If the past holds, the list will shrink back down to normal around April or May.

BCV availablity is always short, though? :) just thought I would add the smiles for fun?

Probably a lot of people were waiting for the F & F offer to be over so that they could get a better price. I have been following the re-sale listing on a daily basis. I definitly noticed that after F & F was over HH contract are going very fast since it costs a lot less and the MF are reasonable.

That hurt! I just bought 150 points VWL resale last month at $86/point, and now I see an identical listing for $82! On the other hand, there is a stubborn seller holding out for $90. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to realize that they won't get it, especially when people are selling for only $82.

If it makes you feel better, you can assume the $82 listing won't make it through ROFR.

Keep in mind there are appx. 100,000 contracts. So, based on that number, is there really a lot for sale?

Are you really sure that the VWL listings are identical? The $90 contract has all of its points coming due in about 3 months. The $82 contract only has 16 points coming due in 5 months. It seems to me that the contracts are priced appropriately (at least with respect to each other).

Maybe it is partially due to getting the maintenance fee bill in January. As the dues keep going up, seeing that bill may give a push to some who have been giving some consideration to selling.

I believe that is what Tom Yeary attributed it to when he posted about it here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1036805

ETA: In case anyone doesn't know, Tom Yeary owns The Timeshare Store!

It cracks me up. I've got one of the best deals going (OKW 50 contract) on the TUG site. You'd think more people would shop before making their purchase desision. I think that even though the list maybe long... there are a lot of DVC owners out there!
