We are staying at CR and read that it is faster to take the monorail to TTC and take the bus there to Hollywood Studios. This would avoid waiting in the hot sun for a HS bus to come and also having to be on the bus while it went to the GF and Poly.

Someone said they may have stopped the bus from TTC to HS with the addition of MK's bus depot. Does anyone know if this is true? TIA

There aren't any buses that go from the TTC to the parks. Now that park to park buses can go right to the MK gates, it isn't necessary to use the TTC as a transfer point.

Do you think it would be more convenient, time saving and less bus patrons if we took the monorail to MK and took the bus to HS from there vs taking the bus to HS from the CR?

Well, not the monorail. You'd have to hop on and go to the TTC, Poly, GF, and then MK. You could always walk to the MK and hop on the bus though.

Well, I wouldn't take the monorail to get to MK. The resort monorail goes clockwise, so if you get on at CR, you would then have to stop at the TTC, Polynesian, and GF before getting to MK. Walking to MK would be faster (it's about a 10 minute walk), but I don't know how early buses to the other parks would start running. Honestly, I think it would be easier to just take the bus from CR.

ETA: OK, that's funny that Dacky619 said pretty much the same thing at the same time. ;)

  1. Buses run from TTC to DHS only before 9am.
  2. The bus area at CR is covered.
  3. Buses from CR to DHS don't stop at Poly & GF; they do stop at WL. (This was changed about a month ago.)
  4. I don't see any significant time saving in walking to MK (or taking the monorail to TTC before 9) over boarding at CR.
