DD10 & I are planning a 4 parks in 1 day adventure next week. I want to park at the TTC since we will end our day in MK. We want to be at DHS for rope drop. What time should we be at TTC? How long does it take to get from TTC to DHS? How early does the TTC open?

Thanks in advance!!

You're much better off to valet @BC/YC/BWI in the AM and walk over to DHS. You'd then bus back to the original hotel from MK.

If you've got a car and you're planning to go to four parks in one day, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you just drive from park to park. Your parking fee covers all four parks, so it won't cost any more. You will save oodles of time. And those are metric oodles, so they're like one-and-a-half times Imperial oodles. :lmao:

The park-to-park buses come about every 20-30 minutes, when everything is going smoothly. I can tell you from experience, though, that everything doesn't always go smoothly. The trip from one park to the other takes 5-15 minutes, with the longest trip being from AK to MK or vice-versa. However, driving yourself also takes 5-15 minutes. And walking from the front of the park to your car takes only 0-5 minutes longer than walking to the bus stops. In some parks it can actually be a shorter trip to your car than to the buses, if you happen to be parked just right. So you'll save almost all the waiting time for the buses.

It might be worth your while to get a AAA parking pass on eBay, assuming you can get one shipped quickly enough. This allows you to park in AAA reserved parking, which is near the front of the parking lot, but off to the side. There's probably no point in using it for the first park - you'll very likely be near the front anyway. But at the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th park it can save you some time.

If you really must ride the buses, I recommend parking at DHS. It's easier to get in and out of, and missing rope drop could put a big crimp in your plan. At the end of the day, you'll have one last bus ride to get to your car, but you're better off putting that at the end rather than the beginning. Even if DHS is closed, if you talk to a transportation CM they will get you to your car, or you could take a bus to the Boardwalk and then walk to DHS.

So, just for clarification, you think it will save me oodles of time? ;)

I have gone back & forth on the driving vs Disney transportation. Now I think you've talked me into driving. I was thinking that the buses would be easier but hadn't really thought about the waiting for the bus time. Thanks for your input!!

Yes, we did the four parks in one day adventure in January and would have never had time to do things in each park if we hadn't driven ourselves. Waiting for Disney transportation can eat up a lot of time. Driving is way more efficient.

We find that driving to the parks is faster than using Disney transportation with a few exceptions. Going to MK from a monorail resort is a no-brainer. Many will say that taking the bus to MK from a non-monorail resort is faster than driving to the TTC and taking the ferry or monorail to the MK entrance. We've done it both ways and found it to be a virtual tie with either method. Where you will gain a significant advantage by driving is going to the other 3 parks and when going between parks. Yes, you might be lucky and the bus you need pulls up just as you reach the bus stop, and that bus may go straight to the destination you want without other stops, but that almost never happens in our experience.

I've definitely decided to drive between parks. I'm kinda worried about finding my way around. Are the signs pretty clear? I have never driven around on site. We always drive to POR & park until we're ready to come home.

I find that there is ample signage around the property and have no problem finding my way around. I think you'll be fine!

As wdwrich said, the signage to get to the main parks is great. You shouldn't have any trouble.

If you have a GPS, you could download the free GPS POI files I created for MouseSavers. They have good locations for each park entrance. They can be found here:

But if not, it's unlikely to be a problem. From anywhere in WDW, the signage is optimized for getting you to the four main parks.

Make sure you keep the parking pass from the first park handy, so you can show it to the gate folks at the other parks.

When you get to the third and fourth parks, you will often find that they've stopped directing cars into neat rows because the arrival rush is over, and they just let you roam the parking lot at your leisure. Go up to the front row; there will almost always be empty spots up there from people who have left already. Sometimes you have to back-in angle park, but it'll shave more time off the trip to the next park (or back to your hotel).
