TTC thread take 2

Well, wish me luck. Today, I have my ultrasound. So, I gotta start drinking water soon. (it's at 9 a.m.)

I'll be glad when it's over. Then, Kenny and I can enjoy the day.

Oh, my boss gave me the rest of the week off! (With pay...it'll be a smaller check, but hey, I'm not complainin'.) :worship: I've had troubles with seizures and this ttc thing....she understands, so she thought it would be good if I could relax for the week! :cloud9:

Gabbie

Good luck sister!

Good luck, Gabbie! I hope it goes smoothly and you can enjoy the rest of your time off!

It's over and I'm home!!!!

Well, the lab tech said she couldn't tell, but it looks like one of the fibroids may be shrinking! :cool1: Verrry good news! I won't know till I see the dx next week, but it's promising.

So girls, just an update on me.

Our loan was definitely finalized and the clinic will have the money today!

The IVF nurse ordered our meds, and I was SHOCKED to hear the price...I thought it would be less. Well, they and the pharmacy said that I don't have to order all at once...and that it really *could be* too much. I most likely will start on the high dose and go a little lower at some point.

Also the nurse gave me some phone numbers of girls selling their leftover menopur and follistim. I called them and will be picking up all of it within the next week or so, depending on our schedules. I will save a total of over $300. And I'm helping them get rid of their meds for a little bit of cash.

DH seems a little nervous but the nurse assured me that it was fine to buy from them, and that they know how to store it and they've been where I've been, etc.

Anyway, I have 11 more days on the pill, and 13 days until starting meds!!

Kennywife- that's great, glad it went well.

Cherbear- I am crossing my fingers and practically holding my breath for you! Sheesh, I am sorry the meds are so expensive, glad you could cut a few corners to save.

Hope everyone is well. The weather is beautiful here and after work we are going to grill fajitas and watch a movie. Happy Tuesday!

More good news....

I found out today I am eligible to take the CLEP! :cool1: (Advanced Placement test) This way, I can get some of my classes over with and move on to the ones I want to study!

Kewl beans!!!

Gabbie

GL on the Cleps. I could have done some of those back before my freshman yr of college, but I ended up just taking the classes. ugh.

I'm sorry I've been a little more scarce lately. Seems I've been SO busy getting things together!! Yesterday they sprung some bloodwork on me which they conveniently "forgot" to tell me about, so I went today on my lunchbreak. I dragged DH along with me so that we could sign our papers. Now I feel like the visit was actually worth something. LOL (Our signing had to be witnessed by the IVF nurse)

Only a couple more things to get ready before the 30th. Aside from losing weight....which I've been miserable about these past couple days. Was doing good for a while!! We shall see....

Thanks for all the support girls!!

CherBear, I'm so excited for you!!! Looking forward to reading your BFP post soon! :goodvibes

Gotta love those surprise tests! I'm all pretzeled for ya and if you can try not to stress to much with the weight gain. You are beautiful and preparing your body for your little prince/princess. So, when you're ready, blame it on the hormones, buy a sun dress or two one size bigger, (retail therapy works!) and embrace it. :thumbsup2 11 more days sister. . .

Keeping everything crossed for you cher! :cool1:

I'm going to do it. I'm going to double major in college. I'm going for two associates: Media Relations and Humanities with emphasis in Film and Pop Culture. I have 5 classes each in the degrees and I'm done! Plus, once I take the Clep, I may not need all of them.

AF is coming sooon....I can feel her. Cramps, chocolate cravings, ickiness. Stay away from the sugar! Bad girl! *slaps hand*

thanks Gabbie!

wow, brave girl! I hope you don't really need all the classes. Great that they have offered you the CLEP tests. GL!

Please tell AF where to shove it! :headache:

I am coming out of lurkdom!! I have been here reading the thread from time to time when it originally started over 5 years ago but got kinda of depressed since the TTC hasn't worked for me and took some time off from trying.

Anyway I just had an appointment this morning and I am pretty excited. My current doctor was away so the assistant saw me and WOW is she a much better and caring person about the whole process. I am going to see her from now on!! Anyway to give some background I have PCOS and started taking metformin a year ago but yet still no baby. Anyway I am starting clomid this cycle and I am really hopeful this will be what works. Anyway the assistant was so upbeat about it and I guess it rubbed off anyway I am thinking positively. My DH and I don't' share any of this type of conversation with friends and family and I just wanted to have someone else to talk to and I feel like I know you guys so well since I have been following your stories. Anyway Hi  everybody!

Falltime, I totally understand not wanting to tell family and you definitely have an outlet here!!

Welcome out of lurkdom! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Do you see an OB or RE? What days will you be on clomid?? I do hope the assistant is right and this will be your solution. Thinking positive is great, and I'm glad you've found someone who can help you in that way!
