I searched this forum and the DIS Transportaiton page and could not find this: Does anyone know what time the TTC Ferry Boat--the large paddle wheeler from the TTC to MK--starts and stops running? Wondering specifically if it runs during early/late magic hours at MK? Does anyone know if it is being cut back like monorail service? Thanks.

If they cut back the ferry along with the monorail, they would have to rely solely on busses to get guests from the MK parking lot to the gate.

BTW, the ferry across Seven Seas Lagoon doesn't have a paddlewheel.

It did when WDW opened. I think the paddle wheelers only lasted a couple of years. They were replaced by the "Staten Island-style" ferryboats because they were slow to load and lower capacity.

We were there in May and the *STATEN ISLAND TYPE * doulbe ended ferries started a hour before rope drop and run as least a hour or so after the mk closed.

The side wheelers (there were 3) reffered to above, were never used from the TTC to MK...they ran the resorts to MK and FW..and did l;ots of special cruises. The hulls were fibreglass and the first 2 had real steam walking beams engines..........The hulls were poor designed and water got into the fibreglass layers and rotted the wood cores.....so...the last one was layed up in @ 1986..........some parts are saved in the Disney shipyard, especailly the real steam walking beam engines and at the enterance of TL is a wheel house from one of them, which one I have no idea.

Have a great vacation...:thumbsup2...AKK

I am no5t sure now but a few years ago the ferries did not run for morning EMH. There were times when guests were held back at the TTC and the first ferry (and also the first express monorail) arrived about 15 minutes before regular opening.

One some middays just one ferry was running. Although some CM's said the service was every 20 minutes, typically from when it pulled free to when it came back and nosed into the dock was not quite as low as 20 minutes.
