We are staying at Boardwalk and booked Chef Mickey's on our departure day for breakfast. We have never stayed there before but I'm excited to be able to walk to Epcot. My question is will we need a park ticket to get into Epcot in order to take the monorail to the Contemporary to make breakfast? I just assumed we could but now I'm wondering if I'm wrong. And we booked a resort breakfast on the monorail because we would be out of park tickets. Help!

You will have to take the bus or a taxi to get to Chef Mickey's - if you go through EPCOT you would need a park ticket.

Have a great trip!

PS. If you want a character breakfast without alot of travel - try Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.
They have Minnie, Donald and Goofy in their beach wear - this is our usual departure day breakfast.

Walking through Epcot to get to the monorail requires a ticket. You could take the bus to MK and walk to the Contemporary for breakfast.

Yes, in order to get to the monorail you'll need to go through Epcot, which will require a park ticket.

You should take the bus to MK and then walk to the contemporary.

It should be FASTER to take the bus to the MK and walk over to the Contemporary, so don't feel bad. Of course, depending on how many days you have park tickets for, the additional day might be quite cheap and give you a few more minutes of Disney magic.

Bus to MK and walk to the Contemporary, you could also get on the resort monorail to the Contemporary at MK but the bus docks are probably a 5 minute walk from either the Contemporary or the resort monorail at MK so it wouldn't make sense to walk towards the monorail unless you wanted to ride it for fun.
