So it's my parents, my two boys (4.5 and 2) and myself. Mom won't do TSMM. She may or may not do GMR at that time. She will probably just wait on us. Can my 2 year old ride? I doubt he would be able to shoot anything, but can he just sit and enjoy riding/spinning around? Or should he just wait with Mom?

TIA

My son has low muscle tone, and when TSMM first opened, I had to use my arm to keep him from getting whipped around on the turns. He eventually learned how to stable himself. But I'd think it wouldn't be a problem for a typical child.

Thanks for the reply and the heads up! I'll keep hold of him til I see how he does. :)

We took our almost two year old last year and he was just fine. My husband just held him on his lap. My son has down syndrome and I think he is smaller than most typical 2 year olds, so yours may be able to ride beside you, but we just kept him on our lap. No issues :).

23 month old grandson sat on his mom's lap and was able to help mom score points..he loved the ride!!

my 2 year old loved it. its a bit jerky so he held on to his grandma pretty tight but he loves all things toy story so he was very happy

My DS was 20 Months old when we took him on the ride...he thought it was seriously the greatest thing since sliced bread, LOL...He LOVED the ride, but whats even more fun is the Buzz ride in MK, lol...when he rode that with my hubby last year he couldn't see to shoot anything but boy did he have fun spinning the car around, lol...My hubby was so dizzy when he got off the ride it was soooo funny!

At 22 months my boys did best in my lap. The ride was a bit jerky and even a year later one smashed his head against the back when it spun and caught him off guard. Even at 4 1/2 now they still aren't great at being able to really use the gun well. They still have fun though.

at age 2 years and 4 months, DD loved it. She came off the ride with her daddy and said, "fun," as she came towards me. Enjoy the 2 year old time, it was the best trip at disney. At age 4 it was one of the worst. All DD did was whine, want to go to the pool, way to impatient in lines.. that's with FP+, and was afraid of nearly all the rides and whined on the ones she did go on, with the exception of the Nemo ride, she enjoyed that. We have the best photos though! Once she saw the characters she was on cloud 9. That was priceless. However, at age 2 it was all rainbows and sunshine, she loved every second and was such a happy adorable little girl. We're going again in 3 weeks so fingers crossed she is good this time around.

My 2 year old has ridden it several times. The first couple of times she didn't understand the shooter so just watched the scenes. Now she tries to pull the trigger, but never scores any points. She loves it!

My younger son was 2.5 and he loved it. He didn't shoot anything, he just sat between his aunt and I and looked at everything and he still seemed to have a good time.
