TSMM or Buzz Lightyear SpaceRanger Spin

As much as I love TSMM, I gotta give it to Buzz, for nostalgia reasons.

Not even close…TSMM! Buzz is ok and back in 2006 it was the first ride we ran to in the morning,, but it's really kind of dated. I would LOVE to see them fix the line que and update the ride to have 3-D, similar to TSMM. Then it might be a contender, but until that happens, we will do Buzz only if the line isn't too long and we happen to be walking by.

I have a soft spot for Buzz because of riding it multiple times with my sister on my first WDW trip, but as a solo, I prefer TSMM. I can't "drive" and shoot at the same time, and I'm lousy at seeing the red dot and getting any kind of decent score on Buzz. I'm not great on TSMM, either, and I agree with the PP that it wears my arm out, but I have a lot of fun with it.

If Buzz was refurb'd I'd vote for it but it's feeling tired... I went with TSM.

I picked TSMM because I beat my ride-mates more often on that one! But Buzz is a tight contender since it's also fun and has a reasonable line

That's funny because I am the same way except for me it is on Buzz's Space Ranger Spin. I tend to be very competitive against DH (not sure how that started) and I can never beat him on TSMM, however on Buzz's Space Ranger Spin, that is a different story. I had watched a YouTube video on how to get high scores on that game once and since then I am able to beat him or at the very least come really close to beating him (and the funny thing is he doesn't even know I watched that video in the first place ), whereas on TSMM I don't even have a fighting chance.

I'm giving a slight edge to TSMM here. Ironically, the lines at California Adventure are never as bad as the lines in the Studios! Lines for Buzz seem to be pretty similar on both coasts.

Buzz is easier at DL as well since you can lift your gun up and the targets light up when you shoot them.

At WDW, I would pick TSMM. At DL, Buzz wins hands down.

For those of you who haven't done Buzz at DL, the key differences to WDW are that the blasters are handheld and you are shooting at different shaped targets, each of which has a different point value.

For my family, it is the one ride at DL that we try to squeeze in as many times as possible.

I like the lines for Buzz better than TSMM. However, I LOVE PLAYING TSMM!

I'm not a big fan of Buzz, but I love TSMM. It's so much fun!!! My husband prefers Buzz.

I was tempted to vote for Buzz for 3 reasons:

1 - The wait is much better and the whole stampede to TSMM makes me very anxious!
2 - It seems like a longer experience. TSMM is over before I know it!
3 - I am much better at it than DH

BUT...TSMM is just so fun!!!

We like both but prefer TSMM. I definitely prefer the wait times at Buzz though.
