TSM worth a trip? Soarin question, too

We'll be there monday Nov 3.

My Dh and I only have one day for the parks so we were going to do our favorites--MK and Epcot. Then I remembered the TSM at DHS which we haven't done. I was thinking of getting there at rope drop to do TSM and then heading over to MK. You think it's worth the trouble? I don't mind the extra travel times cuz my dh is slow and pokes along at parks anyway (we do a ride about every 2 hours--lol--when I take the kids we get a ton done in 2 hours). Wondering if going later to closing time would be any better?

How late do you think we can get to Epcot for Soarin and still get a fastpass? I was going to do MK first then Epcot later in the day but maybe I should reverse that.

Thanks for your help!

I think TSM is worth it! We rode it 3 times in September. The theming is so great and the ride is really fun. I would go there at the rope drop.

I wouldn't imagine that a Monday in November would be super crowded. You shopuld be able to get a Soarin' fastpass into the afternoon.

If you are driving and get to DHS early it shouldn't be a problem because you will be close to the entrance. We got there at 8am and were parked right after the Diamond parking. That will make for a fast exit to MK or Epcot. Also, if you are near the front for the rope drop you will walk at the pace of the CMs who will lead you to TSM, you won't have to race the crowd. That will be a big plus if your hubby is slow to begin with. Put those 2 together and TSM shouldn't take a large bite out of your day.

I would not miss TSM - get there for rope drop and head straight for the ride, and you will be able to get right on. I would then walk over or take the Ferry to Epcot and do Soarin - it seems that at any time of year, that ride books up fast and it's often hard to get a fast past for late in the day. I would try to do that first and then MK. But it all depends on where you want to end your day. We always prefer to do a different park in the a.m and finish the night with Epcot walking around WS.

It's Jersey Week that week (we'll be there, too) so I wouldn't assume you'll get FPs for anything. It does seem that TSM is harder to get FPs for than Soarin', though.

What is Jersey week?

Next week many public schools in NJ have off for Election day and the Thursday and Friday for the New Jersey Education Association's convention in AC. So...many people from NJ go to WDW for the week!

I went Jersey week last year and I was able to get a soaring fastpass around noon without any problem. I used both touring plans and TGM and the longest line that I was in was a soaring fastpass line. I think they were having problems with the ride. It was also the end of the food and wine festival and soap opera weekend and I was expecting more crowds. The crowds might have been there, just not in the parks that I was at.

OK dumb question. I am racking my brain trying to figure out what TSM is at the studios. What is it ?:rotfl2:

I'd do DHS at rope drop for TSM, then Epcot, then MK. Somehow, the flow from DHS-Epcot-MK works better for me, seems like less backtracking since DHS and Epcot are so close.

I don't think any ride is worth cramming in 3 parks in one day.

Yea..that.
Personally I would balk at the extra travel time it would take out of my day. Since I have never been on it, I really don't know what I am missing. However, if I had a really limited time and missed my favorites, I would be :headache: .

It is absolutely worth it! And with Epcot and DHS so close, it is not hard to do three parks in one day but definitely start with DHS and TSM.

I love it so much that in the four days I am scheduled for WDW in early December, I am going to be at DHS three days for rope drop just so I can get two or three rides on TSM!!!
