::yes:: I do too but let's have an argument about it shall we Buzz ? ;) Opinions are one thing, but I think some posters should have taken this to PM or private email a LONG time ago.

How handy that we have moderators here that can make those decisions -

Wow, this thread is STILL going??? And has completely devolved into FP+ pro vs. FP+ con. The TSMM test ended 6 days ago. A mod threatened to shut this thread down 6 days ago if it didn't get back on topic.

Some People Love FP+
Some People hate FP+
TSMM is in a park with no rides so it gets crushed by crowds

Did we need 121 pages to get there?

I like turtles.

We're simply batting around theories about what the test could mean for the future.

Hey, you forgot to mention that a few of us sang. I like turtles too. :)

This thread is sort of on topic. It keeps batting around the hypothesis that at least some rides will become FP+ only and that that is why Disney is running these tests. Of course none of us really know but when did that keep DISers from having an opinion? :upsidedow

This. Although it's admittedly speculation, the side discussion of "what if" they go exclusively "standby-less" is relevant.

Three cheers for common ground. :thumbsup2

The Soarin' test was a hybrid queue, FP+ with a come-back-later line.

The TSMM test was totally exclusionary with FP+ only.

It does seem to be a natural progression of a "what-if" scenario, and I do hope these tests are for a methodology that will only be applied during busy times.

Considering that a large part of the logic in choosing which attractions to make advanced FP's for is the decision to sacrifice one headliner for another by way of using the standby line, the unanticipated lack of a standby line upon arrival has no positive net value.

And to further my point about how WDW is forcing us all to spend more and more time on just 3 daily choices, here is yet another twist:

A new FP+ glitch?

I just tried it myself and it has definitely changed things up - now back to RE-planning another 16 days worth of FP.

I think that happened before and then it went back to normal. But everyone got to keep what they chose so that was good anyway.

I think this is different, though - these new screens are a deliberate design.

Indeed, but entitled to my opinion. I just think it's ridiculous that same posters go on and on when we know how they feel. Is anyone going to change anyone elses feelings on this ? I highly doubt it. That's all I was saying.

Whether it is a glitch or intentional, I am very skeptical about this situation being a permanent change. If it is, there are going to be some happy guests and a lot of unhappy ones who are going to find that FPs for Soarin, TT, TSMM, and RNRC are gone not much past the 60 day mark, especially on busy days.

It sounds very much like what happened once earlier this year.

I didn't say I could pre-plan absolutely everything. But I can at least get the first 3 every day out of the way.

If I get my first 3 choices, the rest is gravy. I know that isn't everyone's idea of a great time, but it's mine.

Saturday I stood in line at Kings Island for 1 hour to ride the Banshee and 1 1/2 hours for Diamondback. Disney doesn't have anything that approaches either.

Point: Disney gets $100/day mostly because of the stuff in-between the "main attractions."

I absolutely agree and my point to those who say there isn't enough to do, or there aren't enough rides is that if you aren't interested in the in-between-stuff, maybe Disney isn't your happy place after all.

You certainly are, but the obvious attempt to derail the thread so they'll close it because some apparently don't like the trend it's taking....well it's obvious.

God forbid, you get positive things said about fp+ - must....stop....it....now...

Being interested in the in between things and thinking some parks could use more rides are not mutually exclusive.
One can enjoy the shows, the live entertainment, heck even just the atmosphere of being in the park and also still think that some parks could benefit from new rides.

I love all of the in between things at Disney. I could just be on main street and be happy. But I also enjoy what Disney does with rides, and would like to see more of that in parks where there aren't many rides because I believe it *adds* to the overall magic.

I truly don't understand this seeming either/or..where one either likes the little things OR likes the rides, but loving both is somehow impossible.

LOL. I think if someone thinks it's their happy place, then it is indeed their happy place........no matter what someone else on the internet says. :rolleyes2

I couldn't agree more. No matter how many times I'm told WDW sucks, or how blind I am for not being able to see that, it's still going to be my happy place.

I can see where that might cause some issues, but I'd sure love to see tiers go away. Every man for himself on getting a fp+!:thumbsup2

I think this is another one of those things that goes both ways in these discussions. I would love to see more attractions of the type that I would enjoy, but just because we don't care if we do anything more than once in a day doesn't mean that we would be satisfied doing just 3 rides a day.

And, even though you aren't one of them, there are people who say that the only people who like FP+ are people who like to sleep in or who are satisfied with 3 rides a day or who like planning every minute of every day.

I.understand there are others who say that, and I appreciate that you recognize that I'm not one of them.

That said, IMO it isn't right when anyone speaks that way about others. The fact that some other people do it, doesn't make it right to do it back.
