Is the "cash bar" during the event only cash or can we charge to our resort key cards or credit cards?

I'm an uber planner and am trying to figure out how much cash I'm going to take w/ me to MouseFest! :thumbsup2

Sorry - only cash is accepted at the cash bar.

Just be forewarned the items will be expensive ($7 for a glass of wine, $6 for domestic beer, $7 for imported beer, $4 for soft drinks, etc - on top of these prices Disney will automatically add on an 18% gratuity plus a 'banquet charge' - not sure how much that will be).

Disney is charging us $100 per hour for the bartender unless they sell $500 worth of beverages. I doubt this will be an issue since I alone will probably have $500 worth of Diet Coke.

I am relatively new to the Podcasts, so I am reading your post and seeing your Diet Coke line and realize we have A LOT in common!

I have such an addiction to the stuff (not regular - diet coke - not pepsi - diet coke), that even seeing it in print gives me a rush! I actually had to give it up (was having way tooooooo much) and started wishing for a Diet Coke Anonymous........I still dabble now and again though.

Anyway, John, if you don't tell my husband and kids on me, maybe we can belly up to the bar and I'll buy you one? ;)

I understand about the diet coke addiction. I drink a 12 pack a day! :scared1: :drinking1

Thanks John...this is good info to know! :thumbsup2

I'll make sure I have enough cash on me for a few drinks. :cool2:

Holy schnikeys!!

I drink Diet Pepsi - preferably Diet Pepsi Max (love that extra caffeine!! :hyper: ) - and a lot of it, but I don't think I've ever done a 12-pack in a day.:faint:

... I think you can count on us for a $100 or so per hour...

So they are going to add 18% to a beer at $6???

Plus a Banquet charge!!?? :scared1:

Ok...so lets say $7.50 a beer.

$9.00 for a glass of wine....

Wait...Thats ....like........$5.00 for a soda!!?? ...... :faint:

This better be good soda!!!!

To quote Pete...

"IT'S SODA!!!!!"

 eeeekkk!

I was going to say something, but the filters will not like it.

What if I dont like the way they pour my beer, and gave it too much foam?

Can I refuse to tip?? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I can see it now, gettiing up to the cart,.........ordering..............and then...

"HEY!!!!........Watch it there.......No spillage now!....
.....I'm payin' big bucks for this, pal!"

:scared:

So now a question......

(Insert best Captain Kirk (William Shatner) here..)

"Scotty! ... We can still....bring in......water......right?"

Right?

Right?

Well, anyway, to help out the team we only have to buy 126 sodas to at least meet the $500 cap, (tax and gratuities not included) so that should be no problem. :lmao:

And Im sure there will be at least one or 2 drinks between DW and I....

Oh well......

Its Disney.

(insert long sigh here)

pixiedust:

party: this "free" party is starting to look a wee bit pricey :rotfl2:

let me see now - 2 maybe 3 drinks an hour for me + 3 drinks definately for DH X 3 hours :scared1:

Oh well, what's left of my 401k just might cover it :lmao: :lmao:
