I haven't been to disney since this was installed. It kind of reminds of Soarin where the wait is way too long. I stood in line for almost 2 hours once because I never thought about getting a fast pass- oh who am I kidding? They were probably sold out. Not worth it!!

I refuse to wait in any line for anything that is longer than 45 minutes. No ride is worth that much of my time!

Wow! We will need to zoom over to TSM before hitting RR or ToT. Thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2

And I thought the hype would have died down at least a little over a year, guess not. Reminds of the lines at Kingda Ka in Six Flags Great Adventure, just crazy long.

When we went in March it was the same deal...it's pandemonium. What's worse is that when we visited WDW last September (the year that TSMM opened) the "mania" wasn't half as bad as it is now. I think it's a case of people creating artificial demand. DH and I are actually not going to go to DHS for the next couple trips due to the crowds relating to TSMM and the Fantasmic shortages.

Toy Story Mania---

My kids loved it and we rode it 3 times on our last trip. We made a bee-line, my husband and boys got in line and walked right on. I got fast-passes and we came back 90 minutes later and all rode it. Another day we got FP's and rode it 4 hours later (our return time).

At least there's fastpass. DL doesn't have fastpass. To make matters worse...at DL the entire waiting area is outside.

I love the ride, but I won't wait that long. My cut-off is about 45 minutes...

I really feel bad for the "once in a lifetime" tripper, who really don't have a choice about waiting until the next trip.

TSM is Toy Story Mania- the newest interactive ride at Disney Studios. We rode it first thing last year w/ about 30 minute wait. Wait time never dropped below 1 hour after that so we didn't ride again. It was fun, though.

We didn't wait 45 minutes last December.

And won't wait more than 20. Ever.

I think the wait is long because it's a ride everyone can ride. There are little babies and the "mature" set all in the same line. It's a lot of fun; I got off it after my first ever time and said, "Wow!!" That said, I am not really a morning person, but I am there at rope drop for the Studios because that's the only way to avoid that line. You can avoid the wait, but you have to do a bit of planning.

Hopefully Disney will take this as a hint for more dark rides! :)
So are your chances of getting on this ride at a reasonable wait completely shot if you don't get in there and run for your life at rope drop? Yikes!

Its a great ride. Last few times the wait posted wasnt as long as the actual wait. One time it said 70 minutes but the actual wait was only 40 minutes

Well, the wait was in the 30-40 minute range at 9:30 both days I was there. I would say if you aren't there at rope drop but will be there most of the day, you can get a fastpass before 11. After 11, all bets are off!

Still new here. What is TSM?

TSM is Toy Story Mania, the newest ride at Hollywood Studios.

I'm really hoping the MANIA around TSM has died down by December when we go. It will be new for all 6 of us going this year, so I'm keeping fingers (and toes!) crossed we don't come across any 3 hours waits for it while we are there. Here's hoping!

3 Hours :scared1: for 3 hours some thing really good better be happening to me.

Not gonna happen.

We were there last week and rode it twice during EMH. It is an ok ride, the kids loved it, but I would not wait for 3 hours either. The waits last week were around 90 minutes. When we were there last Friday the wait to get a FP first thing in the morning was 30 minutes, it was crazy.

Yeah definitely not worth the hype or wait people give it. I would not wait 3 hours for any ride, that is insane to me.

I admit, I absolutely love TSM!! However, 3 hours is a bit much. When we were there in March this year we got fastpasses first thing for an 11:00-ish return. We also waited in a line later in the day that was supposed to be 60 minutes but was more like 50. I think I would wait longer for TSM than I would at any other ride. It was DH's favorite too.
