I'm actually a frequent traveler with Pre-Check, but I was unsure of this situation. We are doing a quick weekend trip on 9/26. I would rather just bring a carry on bag and not check luggage. My question is, would they consider a lanyard full of pins to be some sort of dangerous item? I would like to think no, but these days you never know. Anyone travel with their pins in their carry on bag?

Bring my pens quiet often. I've never been stopped or questioned about them.

DH had his big binder with pins one time when we went. The ended up in carryon we tend to bring almost empty so we have room to bring new stuff home... the TSA did pull his bag (which must have looked like a bag of shrapnel with nothing else in it) but after they told him to open it and he handed them a binder with Mickey mouse and flipped through a few pages of pins they just said ok and told us we were all set.
