TSA question about my boxed and bubble wrapped stroller

Hey guys. I saw another thread about this, but I have a different question.

We are leaving in less than two weeks. Last year I took my DD Mac with us, but had it in a box with bubble wrap all around it, taped up, and then put it in the stroller bag! ( can't be to safe-airlines can really tear up a stroller--even when gate checked ) I had no problems last year. Just put it on the xray belt, and it came out the other end. I was not asked to take it out of the bag---which would have taken all day :rotfl:

So, here is my question-------- With all the new TSA RULES, will they give me grief over my packed up stroller?

Does anyone do this with their stroller? Have you had to take it out at the XRay machine for inspection?

Thanks :goodvibes

...LOL I actually had this though when we were going to bring our new Mac Quest to WDW in 2 weeks. I was so paranoid about it getting ruined that I wanted to bubblewrap it but figured It wouldn't be allowed. What airline did you fly? Now we are planning on bringing a Peg P3 but I still am concerned about it making it in one piece. Thanks! :sunny:

We just got back WDW. I usually use a stroller bag for our Peg P3 (marked with big letters "STROLLER") and gate check our stroller. After having it sent too many times to the luggage carousal, I was told that it would probably get treated better without the bag. This time I used bungie cords to make sure it stayed closed and didn't use the bag. I got it back at the gate with no problems and it was in good shape. I only wish they made a clear stroller bag so that it would be obvious that it was a stroller inside.

I fly with Delta. I did this in Jan with no problems..

My black stroller bag is marked in white perm marker. Larger letters---GATE CHECK STROLLER ( This is wrote every where on the bag LOL..... :rotfl: )

I cut the Mac box so it would fit down into the stroller bag, then I bubble wrap the stroller and stuff it into the box.... Then I fold the box lid down, and zip up the stroller bag. It gives it great protection, and I always get it plane side.

I am just curious if I will have to take it out of the stroller bag and unbubble wrap it... I think it will give me a head ache to do it.... :rotfl:
