TSA at MCO randomly requiring 2 id's when going through security

I know alot of folks don't have passports, my whole family included.

hmmmmmmm..interesting...we use our passports but have licenses for adults, and school id for teen. They pulled me out of line last time....I was a bit freaked for the Xtra search, but all went well...the family laughed...me.... prob the most security conscious of the group...too funny...

Guess if I'm selected I'll be going for additional screening.

For starters, I just sent in my passport renewal. My last academic ID expired a year ago.

Wonder if my medical insurance card and/or a credit card would count.

Thanks for linking over here. I just saw that thread on flyertalk this afternoon! I'll be there this weekend and was wondering if I'd have to present my Universal AP as a 2nd id since it has my name and picture on it.

Well, that's just a little ridiculous. I don't have a second photo ID, unless they count my Costco card. I know my sister doesn't have one. I hope we don't get "randomly selected" for this.

We're all good in our family. Everyone including my 16 yo grandson have 2 forms of IDs. We all have passports and we all have a DL or state issued picture ID. I always travel with both (in case I lose one).

I am good too; I have a state issued Driver's License - in DE, we are going to the National ID; and I have a current valid passport, and my government ID for my job as well.

I'll be SOL then I guess.......all I carry around (if I even remember LOL) is my drivers license. What else are they looking for? Geezzzzzzzzzzz I think I'll start carrying my Lutheran Confirmation Certificate and maybe my blood donors card with me.

Yep, me too. I guess I could've added my USG ID (with the Real chip). But I don't like to carry my USG ID as I really don't want anyone to know that I work for the USG when on vacation. But my SIL who is a Deputy Sheriff carries his ID/Badge, along with his DL and passport.

Ridiculous and inconsistent with TSA rules are they are to be applied at ALL US airports.

More security theatre that does nothing for actual security. I suppose you shouldn't expect anything less from the TSA.

Me too. My passport just expired and I have no intention of renewing anytime soon since I have no plans to leave the country.

I was part of a group of 5 out of MCO yesterday; and I didn't notice any extra questions or requests for extra ID-not saying it doesn't happen though.

youngest DS has drivers licensefor photo id

and im the packmule who gets stuck lugging around in my day bag (along with everything else valuable) the 1st & last day

just the thing MCO needs is longer security lines

Well, unless they are going to let it be known that they are requiring it, they'll just have to be happy with my driver's license. That's all I have at this point. I'm not a student, nor is anyone in my family, so we don't have that as a second form. I don't have a valid passport at the moment. Whatever.
