I need to know what is your favorite TS restaurant in Downtown Disney and why. It has to be "relatively" kid-friendly since we have some little ones, but I also want good food and a good atmosphere. Or are we better off using a CS and saving the TS for another meal? Thanks.

We have eaten at Rainforest and Planet Hollywood and they are both very loud and the food is good, like a Fridays or Chilis. Our fav tho is the House of Blues...the food is awesome

I personally would use a CS and save the TS. There are so many kid friendly and good restaurants I wouldnt miss out on. Like Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Biergarten (the kids get to dance), Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, Garden Grill, Ohana, 50's Prime Time ??Cafe, Akershus.

And for the ones I have heard about and not yet done-Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Chef Mickey's, Mickey's Backyard Barbeque.

Of course Rainforest Cafe is good too. I have ate at the AK location, but not at the DD location. That would be cool for kids, too.

I would skip the TS in DTD too and go for the Earl of Sandwich. Nothing in DTD has caught my eye enough to want to go for it, and the EOS is awesome. I agree that you're better off saving those TS credits for a real Disney restaurant you couldn't get at home, that the kids will probably like more anyways. :goodvibes

I agree that EOS is an amazing CS restaurant! :thumbsup2 A couple years ago we used a TS meal at Cap'n Jack's. Lobster was on the menu and it was good. The view, being out on the water is nice, too. Enjoy your trip!

We were looling at Cap'n Jacks actually. We already have Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, and CRT planned. And we did Hoop De doo last year.

Some people are recommending the Rainforest Cafe. The OP seems to be looking to use a dining plan credit. Rainforest Cafe doesn't participate in the dining plan. If they want to pay OOP for the meal it is an option.

House of Blues is also a nonparticipant.

Oh, definitely Raglan Road! Worth a TS for Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding alone!! Our kids loved it too!

Neither are on the DDP.

Another vote for Ragland Road. It was a last minute change for us and turned out to be the best meal we had! Only caution is that everything is made from scratch so it is a long meal. That was a bonus for us because we got to relax and ate every course! But if you are starving it will be painful! My DS fell asleep practically in his plate :goodvibes

It's one of the only TS meals we're repeating in Nov and both DD & DS requested it (apparantly DS got some good food in before his nap!):lmao:

We love Raglan Road. It is by far our favorite TS in DTD.
But if your children are young, I might save the TS for a more traditional Disney meal. I feel that Raglan Road is more adult oriented than a lot of restaurants in Disney.
Have a Great Trip
