What time was your original reservation for - From the calendar posted online ( and I know that isn't always up to date and can change without notice)
It shows most Fridays park hours 8 or 9am to 11pm or midnight. Unless a special event came up - which does happen time to time - it appears maybe an hour less but still open late so i doesn't seem like much overall from what is available. At least they were in contact
I think anyone has the right to complain sure , however that does not mean anyone is entitled to more regardless of how bad the circumstances may be to you ( general you for posting purposes). Here is the thing - once you accommodate one person you have to accommodate everyone which only creates a domino effect. Let's say they gave a fastpass to every guest to use whenever they wanted. Then people will complain fast pass lines are too long since other rides are down and so many are being handed out( i've seen this before) or find something else that isn't working out now. My point is it's understandable to have disappointment or even frustration but if you are truly THAT unhappy with it it all comes down to choice : Go or don't go - even if this trip must be taken due to already being paid - you can choose not to go again if you feel questionable about the value. You can also choose to enjoy the time there or to find only fault in it.
Everyone in the parks during any refurbishment is paying for the same thing - regardless of how far or little they traveled - we are all in the same boat. I always suggest constructive feedback but outright expecting something in return is just silly to me. Don't take it out on the people on the phone , at the parks , at the ticket booths - they have zero control over how scheduling is done. They are the low man on the totem pole and stuff rolls downhill. I have always had great luck emailing my concerns or feedback and have gotten calls back. I just hate when anyone goes into a situation feeling entitled because they feel their time , money and energy is more important than anyone else and feels the need to be compensated.
