Trying to stay hydrated on a budget

I find that in some counter service spots the water tastes ok and in others it tastes bad. Most of the time I just ask for ice.
It melts fast and doesn't have that funky flavor.

I have a Brita water bottle. Takes out the funk and saves me money. I try to fill at water fountains that are in the shade or in an air conditioned area. Otherwise, let the water run for a bit before you put it in the water bottle. That way it'll be cooler.

I'm another person who recommends the free water at the CS locations. I found that tip on this board it worked great our last trip. The one place even gave us the bigger cups, which was nice.

does anyone know if Disney has added any of those refillable water stations that are cropping up everywhere inside drinking fountains? We have additional members of our party this year (no stroller to hold a cooler) so we are looking for economical ways to stay hydrated with cold water. Because there are so many of us, I feel weird about asking the quick service people for so many cups of water between actual meal/snack purchases.
Don't feel weird about it. Just ask for however many you want/need.

we have 2 camelbak groove bottles that we top off anytime we walk past a fountain so we always have water on us. the carbon filters take care of any swampy taste.
