I'm trying to sort out what cash I need for our day of arrival and I need a little help with jogging those "little grey cells" :rotfl2:

Can anyone please tell me how much the toll charges are from MCO to WDW and what is the acceptable rate for tipping the bellboys for taking the cases out of the car and taking them up to the room.

TIA :goodvibes

If you take the south exit along the 417 you will have 2 tolls of $1.50. Bell boys a $1 per bag plus a little bit extra if they are heavy ;)

Can't help on the Tolls but for the cases I would say $1 per case or if its heavy $2.

IIRC it's $3 ( 2 tolls at $1.25 and one at $.50 )

There are 2 main roads to WDW since MCO has 2 exits, one goes from the north of the airport, one from the south
both are toll roads.
I only took the exit to the north (528) so I couldn't say for the other way, but the first toll booth you hit is manned (there is a cash lane, you need to keep right (might be counter-intuitive for a UK driver), left lanes are for EPASS (automated toll) you need to "exit" to the right to get to the manned lanes (I don't know if they are manned 24/7 though)

You might find it difficult (impossible actually) to get $1 bills in the UK

I personnaly don't change US money before departure. I withdraw cash at an ATM at the airport (going indirect it's not a waste of time). Travelex and other change offices charge way too much. (beware of bank fees for out of country withdrawals)

In any event try to change some $ into quarters at the airport ( we always come home with at least $5 worth of quarters, so we have the tolls covered for our next trip)

I go by the $1 per bag rule.

Can confirm ( having driven it on Sunday night) it is 2 tolls each at $1.50
That is taking the south road from the airport

Thanks for all the replies. As always UK DISers come through :goodvibes:goodvibes

I've got about $5 in dimes and quarters left from our NY trip so I think we've got the tolls covered, and we'll go $1 per bag on the way in and $2 per bag on the way home :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
