We currently have a Club room reserved at HR for 5 people so we can get express passes. Is it possible to only purchase one Adult ticket and one child's ticket from Universal and then purchase the remaining 3 adult tickets from Undercover tourist? It would save a good bit. It won't let me just book the hotel for the stay more save more deal without purchasing tickets.

You’re looking at packages. Back out of it and go to room only. No ticket purchases at all required for that.

Though you might not get the same rate.

Gotcha! Yeah I don't look for packages but yep- you may not get the same rate with room only.

You don't need to purchase any tickets through Universal in order to be eligible for the express pass perk. It is purely a perk of staying at the hotel. It doesn't matter where you get your tickets.

What are your dates? You should be able to get the SMSM rate without purchasing any tickets. Try booking at www.loewshotels.com and see if that gives you any different results.

The Stay More Save More Rate is Available for stays more than 3 nights. Do you need that? Another possibility is having one person purchase one of the Annual Pass options and booking the AP rate for a shorter store. Get all the rest of the tickets at UT. Be sure to check black out dates on the selected annual pass you will purchase.
