Ok we are trying to figure out what flowers to plant. That should be pretty easy we buy what looks nice and then plant them. We have also talked about getting some flowers and some wilf flower seeds since this will work if we get it done in the next week. I want ideas of pretty flowers that we can do from seeds that will not take 5 months. Also we are going to have tomato plants and cucumbers. Trying to figure out what else.

I like to plant zinnias and snapdragons from seed.

I've planted a wildflower mix on our berm a few years ago, and I still get some nice flowers from the mix. This is an area at the edge of our property by the road, it's not a large area, the trees are gradually overtaking the space, and that's fine with me. Shasta daisies and coneflowers are nice perrenials that sort of take care of themselves.

I also put in a few green pepper plants in my garden, and I grow dill from seed for the cucumber salad that I make.

Happy Gardening.

I also grow zinnias from seed - they come up in about a week. I have planted three different height zinnias and alyssum in my garden this year. There are also some shastas.

I also have purple coneflowers that I grew from seed - got them free at a garden show I went to. The first year they didn't do a whole heck of a lot, in fact I thought they were weeds and that the seeds just didn't germinate. But I left them alone and the second year they came up beautifully and they have every year. This year it appears they may have spread some, which is awesome to me!!!!

I just planted zinnia seeds with the shasta daisies that I planted last year. They look like they'll be good this year. That is if I can keep the bunnies from eating them:rolleyes: We have spinach & lettuce coming up that's planted from seed and dill that just reseeds itself every year.
I too make a cucumber salad with the dill
Marigolds are very hardy and easy to grow from seed. I like the little buttery yellow ones. Haven't put them in yet but will soon. Petunias grow well from seed. I haven't found "wave" petunia seeds yet. They're my favorite :flower:
